Andy Barrett is as nice a guy as you will ever meet.  My first encounter with him was January 2023 at Long Haul 100 down in Florida.  This was at the old location with the 3 out and backs.  He was at an aid station on the second leg at the turnaround.  I was pacing my buddy Jim Miller.  It was well after midnight and freezing cold, but it was the most awesome aid station I had ever experienced up until that point.  They really epitomized ultra running community!  I had talked with Andy several times about doing a Lake 2 Ocean episode because he loves that race and has done it many times.  This year after the 2024 edition it just worked out.  He is finishing up training for his 2nd chance at a silver buckle at Western States and had a little time to chat and here it is.  Andy is such a kind human and great storyteller, that all I had to do was listen.  Hope you enjoy.
