Melissa Davis
Melissa Davis is National Outreach Liaison for the state of Florida. She’ll be serving as a liaison to the community and a wide variety of referral partners on treatment-related questions. As a Certified Event Interventionist and Certified Recovery Peer Specialist, Melissa will also be a resource to families and individuals who need support with interventions and/or finding quality care for addiction or other mental health issues. Her wide-ranging, professional experience—in the behavioral health, business development, hospitality, and non-profit worlds—makes her uniquely suited for this role. She has served as a volunteer member of Broward Sheriff Office's clergy and is an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Deerfield Beach.
A lifelong Floridian, Melissa recently graduated magna cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a B.A. in Communication Studies and a minor in Hospitality and Events. She is also in successful, long-term recovery herself, which is one big reason she’s passionate about serving in this role: “I know that a dramatic life change is possible,” she said in a recent interview. “I love to sprinkle hope! I am passionate about being part of the solution to erase the stigma that is attached to getting treatment and being in recovery.”
