In this episode, I talk with Josh Silver, -- a teacher, mentor, and mystic who has spent nearly five decades exploring and embodying expanded states of consciousness. Josh is the creator of the SHE concept, which stands for Sun, Human, Earth. It’s a profoundly simple yet deeply transformative way of reconnecting to the evolutionary forces that gave rise to life itself.

SHE isn’t a technique in the usual sense. It’s a living relationship. Standing barefoot on the Earth, opening to the Sun, breathing with intention, and allowing our awareness to remember what it means to be a conduit between Heaven and Earth. For Josh, this is about living as what he calls a “non-mystical mystic,” bringing the extraordinary into the most ordinary moments of daily life.

We talk about his remarkable journey, growing up in New York City as the son of a prominent rabbi, his initiation into Siddha Yoga by Swami Muktananda in 1976, and the years he spent immersed in blissful oneness. These experiences ultimately led him back to the natural world, to the Earth beneath his feet and the Sun above, as his greatest teachers.

A special part of this conversation is when we speak with one of Josh’s current students, a man named Ivancito, who has embraced the SHE path in his own life. His presence brings the philosophy into real time and shows what it looks like to live in alignment with this Earth and Sun connection. Hearing his perspective adds a living, breathing layer to the conversation and shows how the SHE concept isn’t just an idea but a felt, daily experience.

Josh Silver Bio:

In 1976, Josh Silver was initiated into Siddha Yoga by the master Swami Muktananda. For the next 4 years, he lived in spiritual communities spending extended periods in the profound experience of existence as blissful oneness. He’s spent the past 45 years integrating this awareness into his daily life and seeing all of us as embodying this same inner state. He has done this while raising 5 children with his wife, earning a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, teaching a range of parenting classes, and running the Charlottesville Fatherhood Initiative. 

He developed and offered different personal growth programs — JELL (Joyfully Embracing Love and Life), Full Spectrum Manhood, and IHP (Individualized Happiness Program).

After realizing that he shared humanity's profound disconnection from the Earth and natural processes, he began a deep dive into reconnecting to our Source. For the past 8 1/2 years, he's identified as the 4.5 billion year evolutionary process of Earth, Sun and the emerging human, standing barefoot outside approximately 4 hours a day, directly experiencing and contemplating this miraculous reality. Along with free-form dancing and play, this has resulted in a natural, step-by-step process to integrate and embody expanded consciousness in joyful celebration for all aspects of life.
