I’ve been hearing a lot of post-op bariatric patients using the words “body dysmorphia” quite a lot in the past couple of years in relation to how they are experiencing the changes in their bodies after major weight loss. I did some investigating as the little bit of information I had about body dysmorphic disorder did not seem to fit the description of what I heard these people discussing. Tune in to this episode and learn for yourself what I learned about the differences and similarities between body dysmorphic disorder and having trouble with body image issues. What you learn may help you get whatever help you need, if any, to deal with either of these issues. Both cause emotional despair and we want to minimize as much of that as possible! Share this episode with those who are struggling with issues related to how they feel about their body and check out the full BariAftercare program at www.bariaftercare.com. Thanks!
