Steven and John are preparing for a picnic. They're discussing what they should take along.

是“为...做准备”，强调过程，比如：

prepare for a journey

为旅行做准备

prepare for a meeting为会议做准备

I need to prepare for my job interview tomorrow.

我需要为明天的面试做准备。

What a pity! I have to prepare for the speech competition.

真可惜！我得为演讲做准备。

take和take along的区别？

take表示“取，拿”强调这个动作；而take along强调随身携带某物或某人
