Did you know that losing fat over forty requires some new strategies? The way you ate and worked out in your 20s and 30s may not be what your body needs now. I'm a 49 year old fitness and nutrition coach so I completely understand the frustration that can come from trying to get lean after 40. But it is possible to feel and look your best through peri-post menopause! Here are my five tips I'm giving you today:
1. A workout that leaves you drenched in sweat and exhausted may actually be causing you to STORE belly fat.
2. You are probably under consuming protein.
3. Reducing (NOT eliminating) adult beverages.
4. Eat more whole foods (less processed).
5. Carbs are not the enemy.

In the "let's talk pickleball" segment (18:34) I'm discussing what past time I practically gave up this summer so I could play more pickleball.
