Tino Asprilla has offered to make drone deliveries from his condom company to help people who need them in this difficult time. Not all heroes wear capes, but some of them have their best ideas at 4am.
Tino isn’t the only one trying to find solutions, though. The Premier League met on Friday to discuss further ways of moving this most movable of feasts, an unenviable task, while FC Midtjylland have come up with the idea of drive in football, leading to disturbing revelations about the details of Pete’s car. The man can’t even drive.
On top of all this Man City’s scouting team have been busy, with even Ilkay Gundogan getting in on the act, a Newcastle fan gets in touch to share his pain and Detective Joey Barton is on various beats.

Welcome to the pilot episode of Football Ramble Daily’s Book Club! Each time, Luke Moore will be joined by Kate Mason and Andy Brassell to delve into the pantheon of football literature and pull a different book from the shelf for discussion.
Our first entry is one of football’s defining biographical works, as the Nottingham Evening Post’s Duncan Hamilton pens his extraordinary 20-year tale covering then-Nottingham Forest manager Brian Clough. We get stuck into the process behind Hamilton’s writing, break down the often strained relationship between the author and his volatile subject and reflect on the life of one of English football’s most captivating and controversial characters.

We’re delving deep into the annals of history on today’s episode of Greatest Games, in association with The Blizzard. Archivist, researcher and Blizzard copy editor Kat Petersen joins us to discuss Austria 2-0 Germany from 1938, with geopolitical tensions at fever pitch.
Austria’s footballing and social landscapes were in a state of flux by 1938. The huge Jewish influence on football throughout the 1920s and 30s meant the Nazis treated the game with a certain suspicion, while the middle classes of Vienna established numerous clubs to try and formalise a game previously played on the streets. This match was played after Austria had been annexed by Germany and featured one of the finest footballers of the inter-war era: a humble and unassuming Austrian by the name of Matthias Sindelar.
Kat talks us through the context and endless myths surrounding this momentous game while detailing the extraordinary influence that Sindelar had on Austrian and European football of the era.

It’s a furious old man special! We weren’t intending to do a furious old man special but Sam Allardyce and Graeme Souness provided jibes at Rafa Benitez and Paul Pogba and who are we to pass them up?
As if the Newcastle United-leaning football Gods haven’t provided enough with that, it looks like Mike Ashley is actually going to sell Newcastle! It’s to the same consortium as before, so… yeah. More as it unfolds.
Away from that we chat player entrance music, resolutions in Scotland and visit the Time Tunnel for an episode so old it doesn’t even have a synopsis.

Luke Moore and Andy Brassell are back with a brand new episode of On The Continent and, my word, it’s all kicked off at the Camp Nou.
Club President Josep Maria Bartomeu is fighting for his job as former VP Emili Rousaud filed a lawsuit against the Catalan club, claiming “corruption is evident.” We discuss the fallout from Rousaud’s lawsuit, address the power struggle involving Lionel Messi and the hierarchy and wonder whether the disgruntled pair of Ivan Rakitić and Marc-André ter Stegen may force moves away from the club.
We also check in on the rest of Europe, as Bruno Labbadia brings his Big Sam Energy to Hertha Berlin and Florian Maurice takes up the sporting director job at Rennes. There’s also time to wonder what the longterm outlook for football fandom is, in light of the news that French Ultra groups are united in their protests against games behind closed doors.

Andy Brassell is joined by another of AFC Wimbledon's devoted fans for today's Ramble Meets... episode as he welcomes Mumford & Sons' lead singer, Marcus Mumford!
From supporting Manchester United at school until his friends forced his allegiances elsewhere, Marcus has loved football his whole life. He joins us to discuss his relationship to his hometown club, from wondering whether he could play for The Dons when they held trials on Wimbledon Common to cheering on from his car as they beat Luton Town and returned to the Football League in 2011.
He also tells us the story behind his recently released cover of 'You'll Never Walk Alone', with all proceeds from the song going to War Child and the Grenfell Foundation, and his work setting up War Child FC which uses football as a support mechanism for children living in places ravaged by conflict.
You can stream the single and donate to both War Child and the Grenfell Foundation here: https://mumford.lnk.to/YNWAID

First Liverpool, now Tottenham – we react to Spurs' decision to reverse their furlough policy on today's episode of Jules & Andy, as fans now demand their clubs adhere to firm moral standards. We also the new #PlayersTogether policy that a raft of Premier League players have created to help fund those on the NHS' frontline and ask whether the public perception of footballers will be deservedly improved by this initiative.
We also some questions via your correspondence, with topics ranging from footballers we've dreamed about having a kick about with, to our favourite Pot Noodle flavours. Jules & Andy: here to answer those tough questions!

What can £200m get you in the current climate? One Harry Kane, or one genetically modified, bionically enhanced everyman, transformed into a world beater? This is just one of the questions we attempt to answer today, as there seems like no better rational response to these persistent rumours about Kane upping and leaving North London.
That’s not the only squabble going on though, the president of the Gabonese FA wants Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang to leave Arsenal, a man has been spotted flouting government issued advice to chase a picnic umbrella and it’s all kicking off in Scotland.
As well as all this there is also, of course, our review of Soccer Dog 2: European Cup. Thank goodness we’ll never have to do that again.

On today’s episode of Greatest Games, in association with The Blizzard, we look back to a match that represented a symbolic moment in the modern histories of two nations. The Sunday Times’ Ian Hawkey joins us to discuss Zimbabwe's first qualifying fixture for the 2014 African Cup of Nations, a match played in his then-local Harare.
Bruce Grobbelaar, who hadn’t represented his native Zimbabwe for several years, was called up on the same weekend that the Premier League began and a bench spot under new signing David James beckoned. He decided to fly to Harare just three days before the game and, after much political deliberation around his dual citizenship status, he was allowed to play. This strengthened the side’s Premier League connection, as Coventry City’s Peter Ndlovu also played for the country and excelled in this game.
This marked the arrival of Zimbabwe’s ‘Dream Team’, a national side that will be remembered with a folkloric appreciation, as they dismantled a new-look South Africa side in front of nearly 50,000 fans in their national stadium and set their sights on a historic international achievement.

We're back with a preview show, sponsored by Betway, and today we're talking about why Aleksander Ceferin wants to give the league title to Liverpool, why Ronaldinho is no longer in prison, and why Pete Donaldson has everything he needs under lockdown in Soho.
Elsewhere, we hear from one of the stars of Pete's Film Club, we play a controversial round of The Masked Winger, and we take a trip back through The Time Tunnel and find Marcus, in a toilet, with a man from Middlesbrough. Consider that a warning.
