  • Grief Update: My Dad Died & Here's How I'm Navigating It

I lost my dad very unexpectedly at the beginning of 2021 and this is my grief update. I recorded this 6 months after I lost him, and just now feeling ready to publish it.

If you are struggling with grief right now, this is for you.
Loss is not just death. Loss is a breakup from relationship or friendship, the death of a pet, a move, financial loss, job loss, etc. It all is valid and we don't compare losses.

Here is how I got through it. Because we don't get over it. We get through it and for the rest of my life I will be continuing to move through it.

When my dad first died, I clung to literally anything that gave me a sliver of hope. Please allow this to give you hope. The clouds do part, the sun does shine again. I promise.

  • For the Woman Waking up thinking, "I Can't Do this Today"

Do you ever wake up and have an immediate thought of, ""I Can't Do this Today."

As I'm grieving and going through a lot of loss, I wake up that way every morning and I have learned perspective-shifting questions to ask myself.
Also, in this episode, I discuss conflicting emotions and how we as humans have the capacity to hold both.

As always, this is your positivity boost for the day and the permission slip you are looking for to start accepting whatever you are going through!

  • How to Nourish and Nurture Yourself

I recently heard this quote from Tara Brach: "It is not survival of the fittest. It is survival of the most nurtured." I put my own spin on this to be "it is survival of the most nourished."

Whether you are struggling with an eating disorder, grief, or having a tough time in your life right now, I go through ways in which you can nurture and nourish yourself through it.
We have not have received nurturing when we were children, so in our adult life, we may not know how to even nurture or nourish ourself through the life changes, the loss, the struggles, etc.

I break it down for you in this episode with real life examples of how you can start creating moments in your life where you feel okay again.

  • The One Question to Stop Asking Yourself

There is one question that I bet you ask yourself daily, if not hourly. We all do it.
But if you are wanting to learn more about tapping into your own intuition and your own compass, this question can be reframed in a much better way to get a much better answer.
Also, if you feel there is a lot of pressure and expectation placed on you, asking yourself this question will only further feed into living a life based on other's expectations for you.

Reframing this question is a game changer!!

  • What Is Orthorexia + What if You Just Fear Gaining Weight?

In this episode I am defining Orthorexia and what the warning signs are  for someone who may be struggling it.
This is not an eating disorder defined in the DSM yet; however, it is very real and very important to be aware of the warning signs of it.
I am also answering the question- What does it mean if I'm scared to unhealthy food because of it's calories, fat, carbs, etc. in fear that it would cause me to gain weight?

Many people resonate with this question so I am breaking down what it means and why we feel that way!

  • Non-Weight Loss and Body Size Related Food Goals for 2021

In the new year we always see goals to lose weight, get to a certain size, or start a strict diet.
That was so last decade! In this episode, I am giving you examples of goals you can set for your health that actually bring you closer to a healthy relationship with food versus creating more disordered eating in your life. And if you are looking to step more into intuitive eating, this will set you up for that!
Setting weight loss goals and starting new diets usually ends in "failure," defeat, and feeling really shitty about ourselves. So let's set ourselves up for success in 2021 and set goals that actually feel good for us and help us distance farther from diet culture!

Tune in to this episode and choose new, more empowered health goals for 2021!

  • Bring more Spark to your Life and Step Out of Diet Culture

If obsessing over food and your body is coming between you and meaningful relationships, killing your creativity, and depleting your energy, we are going to be leaving that in 2021!

In this episode, I'm posing this question- if you no longer had to worry about food or your body, what would you do with your time?? What lights you up and what do you want to put your energy towards?
This is a new year... a clean slate... let's not spend another year in the diet cycle and being consumed with food and body size.

We are switching things up on this podcast and I'm excited to have you here with me!

Do you desperately want the approval of your parents but know it is quite difficult to get it?
I am recovering parent-pleaser and have been faced with choosing whether I am going to live a life true to MYSELF or live the life my parents want for me.
It is hard going against what others want for you. Your true courage and strength show when you go for your dreams and goals, no matter what anyone else says.
