I talk a lot about the expectations set forth by society and the picture perfect happy ending. What always gets missed is what happens after the drive off into the sunset? What happens when people are truly their flawed and imperfect selves? What happens when the expectations and reality are polarizing and not possible? Then what? How can we pull ourselves together, find joy in the gritty and messy and feel worthy and powerful as fuck.

So that’s where we are going today as we chat with Emma Jasper, a 34-year-old content creator, social media manager, and writer for brands across the US, and before that, she served as the Director of Content + Social Media for an international women’s health nonprofit. Emma is a badass because of her honest vulnerability where she so candidly shares the reality of heartbreak, infidelity and divorce while being so damn empowering in the messy.

After an unexpected divorce turned her life upside-down, Emma dove into the medium that felt most comfortable for her - social media - to find a supportive community. This time, though, it wasn't for clients - it was for her: in the search for friends who could show her life was possible after divorce and heartbreak, she discovered her own main character energy - and built an incredible online community full of main characters learning to live their truth.
