In this episode Joana speaks with Gary Joplin about his life growing up in the American midwest as a gay man, his struggles with religion and spirituality, and finding his path as a dancer and choreographer. Gary left the US to move to Germany and join a dance company in his chosen second home in Freiburg. After his career as a dancer, Gary needed to find a new direction and discovered a deeper passion for the body as a means to work therapeutically with people. He became fascinated with somatic therapy and now has a private practise as a somatic therapist and coach. In this episode he shares very openly about his inner state throughout the changes in his life, and how his relationship to confidence and security in himself has evolved.
