Brad Mondo typically reacts to videos of people doing things like ombre-ing their hair at home with box dye or critiquing makeovers from shows like America's Next Top Model, but today the hairdresser is reacting to his current reality as an internet sensation. With over 6 million subscribers on Youtube, Brad discusses how he keeps his sanity when dealing with both the blessing and curse of social media fame, growing up the son of a salon owner, launching his own brand and answers some of your most-asked hair questions.

Lisa Eldridge's first gig was being booked by ELLE for a job with Cindy Crawford — and her life seemingly hasn't slowed down since. The professional makeup artist and founder of her eponymous makeup line is one of the most sought-after artists in the world by celebrities, beauty brands and fans alike. She really needs no introduction, because of course you know Lisa. She has millions of followers and subscribers; chances are, she may have taught you a new technique for applying your own makeup. But if you're not familiar, you're in for a treat. She joins us on the show to talk about makeup history, her incredible vintage cosmetics collection, what products she had to "give up her dream" of, why certain makeup products don't exist and some of her go-to drugstore beauty brands. Enjoy our last show of the year and we'll be back in 2021, glamgelenos!

Glamgelenos, today’s episode is our 100th! In the words of our dear friend JVN, can you believe?! We’re celebrating the milestone with two guests we’ve long admired — Jennifer Sullivan and Jessica Matlin of Fat Mascara! These two have been in the beauty podcast game since 2016, paving the way for others like ours. Because we have their brilliant beauty journalist brains on the pod (and because it’s the end of the year), we thought it’d be fun to look to 2021 and talk about beauty trends we think are going to be big. From the newly-crowned beauty influencer to a groundbreaking molecule, tune in to hear what we predict will be all the rage next year.

Olamide Olowe and Claudia Teng are not your typical beauty brand founders. They’re young (Gen Z, represent), they’re women of color, and they are encouraging their customers to embrace their chronic skin conditions. While Topicals’ products are made with scientifically-proven ingredients aimed to help issues like eczema, rosacea, and acne, they aren’t meant to “fix” your skin. Olamide and Claudia want their fans to know that flare-ups can be fun or at the very least, not the end of the world. That said, their hero products — Faded, a brightening gel and Like Butter, a hydrating mask — are amazing. We are both huge fans and we are not alone — the brand launched in August and has already amassed a large, loyal following. During our conversation, Olamide and Claudia share how they came to launch Topicals, what they think the beauty industry gets wrong about chronic skin conditions, and why mental health is such an important part of their brand.
