  • Self-Reliance vs. Connection: What Actually Helps Us Heal

In today's episode, I'm talking about self-reliance vs. connection and what actually helps us heal. So many of us were raised to believe that needing help is a weakness or that slowing down to feel our emotions makes us soft.

Healing in isolation might feel safe, but true transformation happens in connection, especially when we have someone to walk beside us. Community gives us the courage to stay with the hard stuff and is what actually helps us heal.

If you're craving this kind of support, the Good Movement Collective is now open for its third round. I'd love to support you on this journey of healing & growing together!

    In this episode, I cover:

    • Realizing that just because we can carry it alone doesn’t mean we should
    • Why we’re designed for connection as humans & need relationships with others
    • Working through the hard stuff in life instead of continuously shoving it down
    • Reflections you can start now to support your healing & inner work

  • Emotions Aren’t the Problem - Avoiding Them Is

In today's episode, I'm talking about why emotions aren't the problem - avoiding them is. Emotions are meant to help, guide, and connect you. They're not an inconvenience (contrary to what you may believe) but are actually a BEAUTIFUL part of our design as humans!

I know that feeling and connecting with your emotions can sound scary, but it is VITAL if you want to experience lasting healing in your life! I would love for you to take some time and think about what emotions you've been ignoring or labeling as bad. Your emotions are meant to help, guide, and connect you, so I hope you allow them to do that!

    In this episode, I cover:

    • Why emotions aren't the problem but are actually meant to help & guide you
    • Understanding that vulnerability deepens connection
    • What happens when you continually shove your emotions down
    • How to begin letting your emotions be your guide vs. a challenge to overcome

  • A Lesson from Ted Lasso on Healing and Holding Two Things at Once

In today's episode, I'm talking about a lesson from Ted Lasso on healing and holding two things at once. As humans, we REALLY struggle with duality in our culture. We've been conditioned to think that everything is either/or and not ever both/and.

It's crucial that you don't suppress your emotions, even when they feel uncomfortable. Those suppressed emotions won't just magically disappear! One of my favorite ways to work through this is using the “f- you and thank you" exercise. It's been incredibly helpful for me, and I have a feeling it will be for you, too!

If you're ready to learn more about this exercise and other tools OR you need someone to walk with you on your healing journey, I would love to support you in this way. You can join me and other amazing women in rural America in my 1:1 Good Movement Guidance - we're all healing and learning together!

    In this episode, I cover:

    • Why humans struggle with duality in our culture - especially with emotions
    • Understanding that suppressed emotions don't just disappear
    • Personal examples of how I've felt both "f- you" and "thank you" emotions
    • How to use the "f- you and thank you" exercise in your own life

  • Healing Isn’t About Never Hurting Again

In today's episode, I'm talking about why healing isn't about never hurting again. Just like physical wounds, emotional healing requires time, protection, and intentional care. Even when you've worked through something, and you feel healed and closed, something is bound to open that wound back up from time to time!

Setting boundaries and giving yourself space can really help with emotional healing, especially when you're just beginning the healing process. Remember, healing isn't about never hurting again. No matter where you are on your healing journey, you are NOT broken.

I would love to know what you're working to heal right now. If you need guidance in that area, I would be honored to talk with you about it in a 1:1 consult call. Let's work on your healing together!

    In this episode, I cover:

    • Why emotional healing requires more time, protection & intentional care
    • Setting boundaries & giving yourself space to help with emotional healing
    • Examples of emotional bumps + open wounds vs. healed scars
    • Ways you can respond when you get emotionally bumped
    • Recognizing that healing does NOT mean you’re weak when you feel pain again

  • Redefining 'I'm Good' - Feeling Every Emotion & Healing Deeply

In today’s episode, we’re redefining ‘I’m good’ and how feeling every emotion & healing deeply impacts you. So often, we think that feeling good means we’re never sad, worried, angry, etc., but that’s definitely not the case.

Healing is never a one-and-done thing, and it’s not going to look the same for everyone. If you need some extra support on YOUR healing journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you!

    In this episode, I cover:

    • Why finding meaning and purpose in your life is VITAL
    • Resilience vs. post-traumatic growth
    • Realizing that you WILL experience trauma in some way, but cultivating resilience will help you to come out stronger on the other side

I'm excited to welcome Kelly Greene back to the podcast today and continue the conversation from the last episode!

  • Holistic Resilience: Rethinking Strength and Survival, Part 1 with Kelly Greene

I'm excited to welcome my friend, Kelly Greene, Certified Health and Wellness Coach, onto the podcast today!

In today's part 1 episode, we're discussing holistic resilience and what rethinking strength and survival looks like. Kelly has experienced her fair share of trauma over the years and has often been told how resilient she is. While she may look like it on paper, resilient was not a word she would have used to describe herself years ago.

Make sure to come back for part 2 with Kelly next week as we dive more into resilience - you won't want to miss it!

    In this episode, we cover:

    • Kelly's "dark night of the soul" experience that led her to step away from practicing law and take a holistic approach to her life
    • How holistic resilience has impacted Kelly + the work she does with her clients
    • Why resilience does NOT equal grit
    • 2 extreme ways that people typically react after experiencing a traumatic event

  • Why We Stay: Understanding the Pull of the Familiar, Even When It Hurts

In today's episode, we're talking about why we stay and the pull of the familiar, even when it hurts. As humans, we find comfort in familiarity. Our brains are wired for survival, and we LIKE what's comfortable and safe, even when it's actually the opposite of that.

The pull of the familiar is SO strong, but it's not unbreakable. With curiosity, bravery, and support, it's totally possible to step out of what's comfortable and into something better.

Change can be scary, friend, but this is also where growth happens (believe me - I know this ALL too well). If you need help in this area, I'm here for you, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on this journey!

    In this episode, I cover:

    • Why we find comfort in familiarity
    • Understanding what’s really going on when someone stays where they are
    • My personal experience with staying comfortably numb for far too long
    • Questions to ask yourself when you’re considering making a change

  • How We’ve Navigated Expectations in Ranch Life and Marriage with Tom

In today's episode, Tom and I are talking about how we've navigated expectations in ranch life and marriage. We've learned that unspoken expectations are resentments waiting to happen. If you're going to have an expectation about XYZ, you've got to speak it - not everyone is going to have the same expectation or understand where you're coming from!

We hope this episode gives you a more REAL insight into how we've navigated expectations in ranch life and marriage. We've both done the inner work on our own (as well as together); it takes time to get there, but it's absolutely worth it.

Remember - speaking expectations are so, SO important. People aren't mind readers, and they can't meet expectations they don't know exist!

    In this episode, we cover:

    • Tom’s experience with having high, unspoken expectations of others + how that’s changed
    • What to consider if your expectations are consistently NOT being met
    • The correlation between feeling safe & effectively communicating your expectations
    • Making sure that YOU’RE in the right place mentally in order to help others
