At some point we're all forced to overcome adversity.
Lucy Hone, PhD, author of Resilient Grieving: How to Find Your Way Through a Devastating Loss, conducted her own experiment after experiencing the tragic loss of her young daughter. She discovered, you can rise up from adversity. It is possible to make yourself think and act in ways that help you navigate tough times.
Hone's first Trait of Resiliency is that Resilient People understand that bad things happen, and that suffering is simply apart of life. Instead of thinking "Why me?" they think "Why not me?"
