大家对exclusive最熟悉的意思是“独家的”，“独有的”
比如，
exclusive right: 独家版权
exclusive shoes: 独有的鞋子
exclusive也可以用来描述商品非常贵， 贵到available only to people who have a lot of money。
exclusive：昂贵的， 有钱人才买得起的

在中文里， 我们常常会用“卖肾”“抢银行”等来调侃某个东西贵， 英文里也有这样的说法。
cost someone an arm and leg: 花大价钱， 花了一大笔钱（花一只手臂，一条腿的价格， 跟“卖肾”差不多了）
-He bought his girlfriend a necklace, but it really costed him an arm and a leg.
他给女友买了一根项链， 但真的花了他一大笔钱。
break the bank: 把银行里的钱都得花光， 意为“倾家荡产， 花掉所有有钱” ，多用于否定句
to break the bank = to cost all the money you have in the bank; more commonly used in the negative form to not break the bank when you want to say that something is expensive, but not that expensive.

pay through the nose：花了多的钱
它可以用来指商品的价格unfair, unreasonable, 以至于让消费者pay through the nose
