It was something a little different, and something pretty special as the Hawks Insiders threw on their Sunday best and headed to the Peter Crimmins Medal.

Before we enjoyed the nights celebrations, we managed to chat to a number of Hawthorn players on their way in to the event.

* We chatted to Sam Frost in order to see what Frostball meant to him, and to better understand the off-field work that he and other Hawks have done;

* We asked Josh Ward what his hopes were for 2024, and what his plans were to transition from the wing to the midfield group;

* We finally caught up in person with friend of the Insiders, Will Day before he claimed his maiden Peter Crimmins Medal.

Thank you for your continued support of the Hawks Insiders, we will look to bring you cutting edge insights and content over the course of the Trade Period and as we turn our attention to the AFL National Draft.If there’s something you would like to see, drop us a comment and let us know!

As we well and truly settle ourselves into the off-season - and one which looks like being busy for the brown and gold, we sat down to talk to gun midfielder Will Day about the HFC state of play.

The excitement we as fans have carried throughout the home and away season and into trade developments and the draft, is one that is also held by the current playing group.

And speaking to Day, he was very bullish about the direction our group is heading as we talked a broad range of topics including:

* trades;

* WhatsApp groups;

* holidays;

* A PCM prediction;

* our best starting 23 for round 1, 2024;

* which opposition player he wants to emulate;

* pre-season training;

* comfort levels being labelled out next a-grade superstar

* and more!

Enjoy the listen - no doubt you will be bouyed as much as we were hearing from arguable the most talented footballer on our list.
