It started off thinking we wouldn’t have to much to discuss this week before Ash loosened the reins a bit, and we spent well over an hour covering many different topics of brown and gold conversation. That included:
* Discussion about the Saints loss - the good, the bad and the Marvel experience;
* Our forwards, and general selection as a whole;
* Retro round coming up - our jumpers and a flashback to 1999;
* The game against the Pies and what we expect to see;
* A fleeting tribute to our great retiring Bud;
* and plenty more…
As always, it was great to have so much listener involvement, with regulars jumping on to chat and plenty of questions and comments in the chat. Thank you as always, for your involvement and support.
HI Safe Spaces will be remaining on a Wednesday night through until the end of the season which allows a clear run for Thursday night FIFA Women’s World Cup Matches, future Thursday night AFL finals and other events.

It was a fairly disappointing performance in parts for the Hawks on Sunday afternoon under the lid at Marvel.
An inability of the Hawks midfielders and defenders to arrest the momentum of the Saints at various times throughout the game will be concerning to the coaching staff, but there were some positive performances to take out of the game including:
* Will Day starring in his 50th game;
* The return of the Chad;
* An impressive display by Meek;
* Six of the best from Luke Breust.

Each week we will bring you another episode of the magnificent Golden Years series that we recorded in collaboration with the Hawthorn Football Club. Each episode was special, covering many of the significant moments from our past with heroes of years gone by.
It's been over 50 years since this incredible game.
The game that made David Parkin a premiership captain, John Kennedy a dual premiership coach, and the likes of Leigh Matthews, Peter Hudson, Don Scott and Peter Crimmins premiership players.
What a star studded line up it was.
And of course who could forget Hawks' Team of the Century Full Back - and one of the best to ever do it - Kelvin Moore.
The superstar joins us to discuss the iconic 1971 premiership, and the never-before-heard stories that came with it.

It feels like we say this every week but there was so much to talk about from a Hawthorn perspective again this week. The Insiders spoke to plenty of things which involved the Hawks, including:
* breaking down the reasons for the devastating loss to the Tigers;
* looking forward to the match against the Saints, and who Finn will ‘glove’ this week;
* a major Dingley update, direct from the club to Ash;
* should the club chase opposition players Zac Fisher, Esava Ratugolea, Ben McKay and Liam Ryan;
* who of the young players, yet to play at the Hawks, will be next to debut?
* and plenty more…

A little bit of a salty pod as we review each player’s performance in the loss against the Tigers at the MCG, still pinching ourselves that we somehow blew our tasty three-quarter time lead.
And while there are plenty of learnings to be had, we dissect each performance and look at who stood up for us when they were needed, and who went missing.
Can your guess which player got a 9/10 for their showing? Or who had the first ever 0/10 dished out for what they served up on Saturday?
We’d love to hear your thoughts - drop a comment or join us on the @HawksInsiders weekly Safe Space on Twitter this Wednesday night.
We’ll stay on Wednesday’s for the short term to avoid clashing with the Matilda’s and their World Cup run.

No Hawk has ever booted more goals in a single game than Jason Dunstall's incredible 17-goal haul against Richmond in Round 7, 1992.
In this week's Golden Years Revisited podcast, we were joined by Dunstall, Hawthorn's greatest goalkicker of all-time, as he recounted this historic performance.
Many would argue such a feat will never be repeated in modern football, so why not reminisce until your heart's content.

It’s always good to chew the fat with Hawks fans after a win, and this week’s Safe Space ran a little overtime because we were having so much fun.
There was plenty to be happy about with our win against North Melbourne and we unpacked the game in detail.
Our nearly full panel plus special guests had plenty to discuss including:
* The good, the bad and the fan experience against the Roos;
* The upcoming game against the Tigers;
* Will Day - his current and future status among the games’ elite;
* Karl Amon and his worth to our club;
* Whether or not we should pursue Brodie Grundy;
* And much much more.
HI Safe Spaces will continue in the Wednesday night slot next week with the mighty Matildas in action at the Women’s FIFA World Cup!

Hawthorn got the win against a very poor North Melbourne team on Sunday afternoon under the roof at Marvel. It was the Hawks second win against the Roos this year, following the 19 point win in Round 3.
Poor kicking is poor football and our inaccuracy in front of goal allowed the Roos to stay in the game for longer than they deserved to be.
Listen as Danny Prins and Andrew Weiss return from their respective breaks to cast their eye over this one. Is Karl Amon worth what the Hawks are paying him? Does James Worpel deserve an extra year on his new deal? What need to change to see more of the second half Hawks?
Don’t forget to have a listen to Ash’s post game one on one with Hawthorn Vice-Captain and all-round great human, Dylan Moore.

Hear from Hawthorn’s vice-captain and half-forward Dylan Moore after the win against North Melbourne that creates more space between the Hawks and their opponents on the ladder.
Moore spoke about how the match was a ‘tough grind’ and how Mitchell’s message at half time was for the players to ‘finish' their work’.
Moore was incredibly humble in his description of his game, stating that he thought he played his role, created pressure and helped his team out.

We were down a couple soldiers on our weekly Twitter Safe Space on Wednesday night, but the HI team soldiered on with the help of regular listener Mick Cowan and a late, but always entertaining cameo from Brad Klibansky. Listen as the team discussed:
* The good, the bad and the ugly against GWS;'
* The likely changes against North;
* Contract chatter surrounding Worpel and Brockman;
* James Blanck’s contract extension; and
* Mick’s training report.
