The capitalist society that we live in requires us to live very structured and rigid lives that often means picking between routine over community. Is there a way we can build community into our routine? Or does that completely defeat the purpose of community and disregard the spontaneity required to truly be apart of a community?

Hellooo my lovelies, back this week with a little life update, house update, reading update, and of course part two of last weeks 'face dysmorphia & perception drift: the cost of beauty trends' episode. In this second part I take a deep dive into my want from a young age to get a nose job, as well as how hyper-fixating on things can result in having a cognitive bias that only makes our hate towards that thing even even more extreme and irrational.

Some beauty trends are just a bit of fun regardless of how much we might cringe at them further down the line, like with the 'blush-blind' trend we're now seeing all over TikTok, but other beauty trends can actually be extremely damaging, and cause serious issues with body and face dysmorphia, perception drift, and put pressure on people to alter and manipulate their natural features. Hyper-fixating on features that don't fit the current beauty fads can cause us to negatively spiral and make permanent changes to fit temporary trends, which begs the question, should features or body types ever be trends?

When did it become ok to globally debate someones gender? Put yourself in this woman's shoes and imagine your gender was getting publicly questioned and scrutinised, with people hurling abuse at you and telling you you're evil and not deserving. Gender is not as black or white as we have all been taught growing up, DSD is a lot more common than you think. Let's call this 'controversy' out for what it is, sexist, racist, and transphobic.

who doesn't love a good bed rot... but there's rules to the bed rot, let's not let it get self-sabotaging and find ourselves in cycle of avoidant, unhealthy behaviours, let's allow ourselves to be horizontal in PEACE

On this week's episode I'm spilling my thoughts on some unspoken rules when it comes to flying as well as a few unhinged airport stories and how crazy some of the luggage allowance rules have got.
