Doesn’t it seem odd that two people can have two very different definitions of a relationship? The dating world is confusing these days, mostly because it’s so easy (and acceptable) to hook up instead of committing to someone. In the olden days people were expected to get married before having sex; nowadays it’s acceptable to have multiple partners throughout one’s life.

If and when your guy pulls away, it’s important to realize that you are not the sole reason for the change. How was your communication? Did he have past trauma or baggage that was difficult for him to let go of? Did you have the same idea of what a relationship and commitment looked like?
