  • Why Lindsay Clancy's Holdout Juror Is Now Under Investigation

One juror stopped eleven others from acquitting Lindsay Clancy by reason of insanity. Now that juror is the subject of a formal judicial inquiry, and his own court records are the reason.

Judge William Sullivan on September 21 granted defense attorney Kevin Reddington's motion to produce the holdout's sealed juror questionnaire and conduct a limited investigation. The defense alleges the juror may have given false answers during selection about his criminal history and existing court orders.

The holdout has been identified as Michael Desronvil, 48, of Bridgewater. He was arrested in 2021 on a domestic assault charge that was later dismissed. His teenage nephew obtained a restraining order against him after alleging Desronvil pushed him down and repeatedly punched him in the face. That restraining order was active during the entire Clancy trial. Massachusetts law requires prospective jurors to disclose this information on their questionnaires.

The motion also targets Desronvil's cellphone. Multiple jurors told interviewers that the holdout scrolled through his phone during deliberations rather than engaging in discussion. If the phone shows outside material was accessed, that constitutes an external influence courts can investigate.

Through an attorney, Desronvil says he had no doubts about Clancy's guilt. The foreperson and multiple jurors say the opposite. Defense counsel Martin Weinberg, who joined from the Karen Read case, is preparing a double-jeopardy motion arguing that a jury broken by a disqualified juror cannot produce a lawful mistrial. The September 29 hearing will determine how far this investigation goes.

  • Caleb Flynn's 100,000 Messages and Kohberger's Family Just Spoke

    Two cases. Three conversations.

Prosecutors in the Caleb Flynn murder trial say the former worship pastor sent more than 100,000 messages to his mistress, some allegedly describing plans to kill his wife Ashley. At the same time, they say, he was texting Ashley love messages. His defense attorney conceded the affair and told the jury: being a terrible husband doesn't make you a murderer.

Bryan Kohberger confessed to the Idaho student murders, was sentenced to four life terms, and is now claiming from prison that the confession was coerced. His family released a statement to ABC News backing his bid for a new trial.

Psychotherapist and author Shavaun Scott joins Tony to examine both cases through a clinical lens. What goes through the mind of a mistress who reads those messages and stays? What does the pastoral persona tell a therapist about the ego underneath? And is the Kohberger family acting out of genuine denial, or is Bryan running a manipulation campaign from his cell?

Flynn has pleaded not guilty. Kohberger's hearing is set for June 2027.

  • Caleb Flynn Trial Day 5: Joseph Wilhelm Found WHAT Deleted From His Phone?!

Special Agent Joseph Wilhelm took the Caleb Flynn jury inside the digital evidence recovered from Flynn's iPhone, and the timeline prosecutors are building now has another layer. Wilhelm testified that Instagram, GroupMe, ChatGPT and other apps showed as deleted from the phone on February 15, 2026 - the day before Ashley Flynn was killed.

Wilhelm, a cyber-crime investigator specializing in digital forensics, said the first attempt to extract Caleb's phone data failed because of settings on the device. He used another forensic tool and completed a full extraction. He testified that the recovered artifacts included evidence of incognito browsing.

The extraction also reached beyond the phone. Wilhelm testified about Apple Watch data, including a final recorded heart rate at 2:10:11 a.m., step information and AirPods connectivity. The watch was identified in the data as @CalebApplesWatch. Investigators also recovered audio of a song Caleb wrote for Alleigha Botner, which was played for the jury.

Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty in the murder of his wife, Ashley Flynn. Prosecutors allege he killed Ashley and staged their Tipp City home to resemble a burglary. The defense says an intruder killed Ashley and investigators rushed to blame Caleb. The digital evidence gives jurors another timeline to compare against both versions of what happened.

  • Richard Allen and the Five Words Indiana Didn't Want to Hear

The State of Indiana's proof that Richard Allen was treated well in solitary is a short list: a free replacement tablet, a new cell window, and a couple of in-person visits with his wife. The state's lawyer read it to the Indiana Court of Appeals on September 21, 2026, in the Delphi murders appeal, and the warden's 2023 account explains the tablet. Allen destroyed the first one in the days after the phone call in which he told his wife he killed Abby and Libby, while refusing to eat or sleep.

That call was April 3, 2023. She hung up on him. The state counted 61 incriminating statements after that, to his mother, to guards, to the warden, and to the prison psychologist, and it had a record of every one because the suicide-watch cell logged everything he said every fifteen minutes.

Sworn statements from Westville guards confirm they used a Taser on Allen twice in May 2023, for refusing orders, they say. When his lawyers asked to move him because guards wore patches tied to Odinism, the state admitted the patches were real, said the officers were told to remove them, and called a transfer unwarranted.

Allen wants a new trial because his lawyers say those thirteen months produced the confessions and the trial court hid the evidence that undercut them. The state wants the conviction upheld because it says restrictive housing isn't coercion under Indiana law and the confessions that matter came when he was lucid.

The appeals judges asked the state whether Allen was treated as well as anyone else at Westville. The answer was yes. What a judge said next is the first thing you'll hear. No ruling has come, none is scheduled, and the loser can take it to the Indiana Supreme Court.

  • Caleb Flynn Trial Day 5: Botner Changed Her FBI Answer After WHAT?!

Alleigha Botner's cross-examination in the Caleb Flynn murder trial gave the defense a chance to turn the spotlight onto the prosecution's affair witness. Botner testified that she had searched the internet for information about unsolved murders and that, in her first FBI interview, she said she did not believe Caleb killed his wife, Ashley Flynn. In a later interview, after retaining counsel, she said she did believe Caleb killed Ashley.

The defense also walked Botner through messages showing her jealousy toward Ashley and her repeated demands that Caleb leave his wife. Botner acknowledged sending many messages saying she hated Ashley and wanted her gone. She also testified that she sometimes doubted Caleb's claims that he hated Ashley because she saw Ashley behaving lovingly toward him and saw the couple going on dates and to restaurants. Botner said Caleb may have been lying to her about how he felt about his wife.

Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty to charges including aggravated murder in Ashley Flynn's death. Prosecutors allege he killed Ashley and staged the scene as a home invasion; the defense says investigators rushed to blame him. Botner also testified that she has never been charged in connection with Ashley's murder and that prosecutors made her no promises.

  • Kohberger's Family Said He Deserves WHAT After Confessing?!

Bryan Kohberger admitted in July 2025 to killing Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin at an off-campus house in Moscow, Idaho. He was sentenced to four consecutive life sentences. A year later, he filed a handwritten petition claiming he was coerced into a false confession.

Now his family has released a statement through ABC News backing his bid for a new trial. Their statement acknowledged the grief of the families. They want what they call a proper trial to get to the truth.

Psychotherapist and author Shavaun Scott joins Tony to examine what drives a family to voluntarily step back into a toxic public narrative when they could stay silent. Scott breaks down the psychology of denial, whether Bryan could be orchestrating his parents from prison, and what that family's public statement does to a convicted killer's ego.

A hearing on Kohberger's petition is set for June 2027.

  • Caleb Flynn Trial Day 5: Botner Reveals His February 16 Message

Alleigha Botner testified that the affair with Caleb Flynn came roaring back just before Ashley Flynn was killed. On February 14, Botner said Caleb told her he hoped their relationship was not over. By February 15, she said they were discussing divorce, jobs, where to live and what came next - sending hundreds of messages that day.

Then came the line Botner read to the jury: "February 16th. A day I'll never forget." Botner testified that she understood Caleb's comments at the time to mean he was finally leaving Ashley. Hours later, Ashley was dead.

Botner said that after learning of the killing, she texted Caleb asking whether the news was real. She also testified that she later resigned from Christian Life Center because she knew the affair would become public. According to Botner, the last time she saw Caleb in person before court was February 16. She testified that Caleb told her, "It didn't happen the way we thought it would, did it?"

Caleb has pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors allege he murdered Ashley and staged a burglary; the defense says an intruder killed her. The jury now has to evaluate the timing, the words and Botner's explanation of what she believed they meant.

  • Caleb Flynn’s Mistress Lied to the FBI About WHAT?

Alleigha Botner is the prosecution’s star witness in the Caleb Flynn murder trial. She’s also a woman who deleted evidence, lied to federal agents, and helped the defendant research how to wipe his phone — all before anyone asked her a question under oath.

Botner testified she and Flynn exchanged over a hundred thousand messages while she worked as a worship leader at the Flynns’ church. She read the jury texts in which Flynn allegedly said he wished he could kill his wife, and one exchange where he texted “kill her” in response to her question “what can I do?”

On the last night of Ashley Flynn’s life, Botner testified she went to ChatGPT and searched how to delete their messages. She sent Flynn the screenshots. Hours later, Ashley was shot twice in the head.

Botner’s first reaction, she testified, was that it was “too much of a coincidence.” She texted Flynn “were you involved?” and deleted the text. When the FBI interviewed her four days later, she denied the affair entirely. She told the jury she believes Flynn killed his wife. The defense let her say it without objection. Cross-examination hasn’t started — and neither have the defense’s questions about the Vandalia house she was staying in that night, which investigators never searched.

  • Caleb Flynn Trial Day 5: Botner Gave Him WHAT Final Deadline?!

Alleigha Botner told the Caleb Flynn jury that by late 2025, her message to Caleb had become consistent: leave Ashley Flynn, or the affair was over. Botner testified that she first set Christmas Eve as a deadline, then extended it to January 11, 2026.

On January 11, Botner said she texted Caleb that the deadline had passed and she was officially moving on. The next day, she testified, Caleb replied that he was sorry but understood their relationship was over. Then, on February 3, she said he reached out again and sent lyrics to a song he had written for her.

Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty in the murder of his wife, Ashley Flynn. Prosecutors allege he killed Ashley on February 16 and staged their Tipp City home to resemble a burglary. The defense says an intruder killed Ashley and investigators rushed to blame Caleb.

The timeline matters because the jury is now hearing how the affair moved from repeated ultimatums to an apparent breakup - and then, less than two weeks before Ashley's death, contact started again.

  • Caleb Flynn Trial Day 5: Botner Said WHAT About Killing Ashley?!

Alleigha Botner read a message she said she sent Caleb Flynn during their affair: "I want to kill her, Caleb." Botner testified that Caleb replied, "That makes 2 of us."

Those words were presented to jurors as Botner's testimony continued in the trial over the death of Caleb's wife, Ashley Flynn. Caleb has pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors allege he killed Ashley on February 16, 2026 and staged the Tipp City home to look like a burglary. His attorneys say Ashley was killed by an intruder and investigators rushed to blame Caleb.

This exchange adds a complication the jury cannot simply skip past: the language in these private messages was coming from both people. Botner is a prosecution witness, and her own words are now part of the evidence jurors are hearing. The state can argue the exchange supports its theory. The defense can press context, credibility, and what two people saying something in a text actually proves about a later homicide.
