  • Caleb Flynn's Text to His Mistress Said WHAT About Ashley?!

Caleb Flynn's mistress read a text to the jury that turns an ugly affair into something else, and it was sent June 12, 2025, with eight months still to go before Ashley Flynn died. What he asked for, what she wrote back, and "I've never joked about it" open this Hidden Killers panel on the Caleb Flynn trial.

Robin Dreeke, former head of the FBI's Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Program, and Jennifer Coffindaffer, retired FBI special agent, watch three clips with me and break down the man in them. Fourth of July: "douche needs to go," "please take her out," and his answer when she asks if he'd ever miss the Smiths. August 22: "up till 4 a.m. crying and literally thinking of ways to kill her and not go to jail," then "I have been literally trying to find a way to get rid of her," then the confession that he'd been parked across the street from her office in tears.

The state's theory is that Caleb shot Ashley twice in the head while she slept on February 16, 2026, then staged the house to look like a break-in. The defense says an intruder killed her and the prosecution has motive confused with murder. Every message in this episode was read into evidence by the prosecution's own witness.

Where these three clips leave you decides how you hear the rest of this trial. Part two is her hands on it. Part three is cross.

  • Caleb Flynn Called Feb. 16 a Day She'd Never Forget - WHY?!

Hours before Ashley Flynn was found dead, Caleb Flynn was telling Alleigha Botner that February 16 would be a day she would never forget. Botner testified that she believed the promised action was a divorce.

The Caleb Flynn trial has now put that explanation beside the rest of their final-night communications. Botner said Flynn laid out a plan to leave Ashley: speak with family, talk to his daughters, ask about work, get a hotel, and move out. She also testified that she was using ChatGPT that evening for information about divorce, proof of an affair, and deleting messages, and that she sent Flynn screenshots. Their messages continued after midnight.

By morning, Ashley Flynn was dead. Flynn reported that an intruder had entered their Tipp City home. Prosecutors allege Flynn killed Ashley and staged the scene; he has pleaded not guilty. Botner told jurors the timing immediately struck her as too much of a coincidence. She asked Flynn whether he was involved, then deleted those messages because she feared the affair would be discovered. She also admitted she initially concealed the relationship from the FBI.

Eric Faddis joins Tony Brueski to examine the legal fight inside those facts. The prosecution can ask jurors to view the messages as part of a plan. The defense can point to Botner's own stated understanding that Flynn meant divorce and challenge what her deletions and initial lie do to her credibility.

  • Elizabeth Siders Faces 23 Counts as Gary’s Case Stalls

The Siders family case now has one defendant the court says cannot be tried and another facing 23 criminal counts while her own competency remains unresolved. Gary Siders Sr., 73, was found incompetent to stand trial on September 9 after a forensic examiner concluded he could not understand or assist in the proceedings. The judge also accepted the finding that he is not restorable, leaving prosecutors to choose between dismissal and possible civil commitment.

Gary Sr. had been charged with 16 counts of child endangerment after 16 children were found June 30 in a Hamden, Ohio, home. He had already been released on a recognizance bond because of serious medical concerns and is subject to GPS monitoring. His attorney has said he expects the criminal case to be dismissed, but that decision still belongs to prosecutors and the court.

Elizabeth Siders is on a different track. She faces 19 child-endangerment counts plus four additional felony charges involving a teenage relative, and she pleaded not guilty to the newer charges on September 16. Her bonds total $550,000. Her attorney requested a competency evaluation, and the report had not yet been filed at the time of her arraignment.

The other remaining defendants, Gary Siders Jr. and Christina Siders, also asked to be evaluated for competency. So the same prosecution that began with four adults and 16 children is now being filtered through four separate mental-competency questions. This episode follows what that means legally, what it does not mean about guilt or innocence, and why competency can stop a criminal case before a jury ever hears the evidence.

  • Kohberger's Lawyers Warned the Judge About WHAT?!

Bryan Kohberger's former defense team had already raised concerns about his ability to process the case before he accepted the plea deal that sent him to prison for life. A filing unsealed on September 22, 2026, says his lawyers told Judge Steven Hippler that Kohberger was struggling to rationally understand adverse rulings and what those rulings meant for his options.

The defense did not tell the court he was incompetent. Instead, they asked for additional time and expert assistance so they could communicate with him about major choices, including whether to testify, continue toward trial or resolve the case. The court denied the continuance, and six days later Kohberger pleaded guilty to four murders and burglary.

That timing now sits inside Kohberger's effort to undo the plea. His new attorney, Greg Rauch, says the sequence does not automatically make the plea unconstitutional. He argues it creates a factual issue about whether Kohberger had enough time and help to understand the position he was in when he made the decision.

The legal filing arrives alongside a very public family statement. Kohberger's parents and sisters say they support his post-conviction challenge and want the full truth tested in court. Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott joins Tony Brueski to examine what it means when a family publicly validates a convicted relative's new innocence claim after he admitted guilt under oath.

Kohberger is serving four consecutive life sentences without parole plus ten years for burglary. An October 15 hearing will address his request for a new judge and venue, followed by a June 17, 2027 evidentiary hearing on post-conviction relief. The dispute is no longer just about what he says now. It is also about what his own lawyers told the court before he entered the guilty pleas.

  • Caleb Flynn’s Private Messages Said WHAT Before 911?!

Before Caleb Flynn called 911, prosecutors say his private messages had already documented a year-long affair and repeated anger toward his wife Ashley. After 2:30 a.m. on February 16, 2026, Caleb told dispatch that somebody had broken into the Flynn home and shot Ashley. He said she had two shots to the head and directed attention toward the garage while officers were still on the way.

The prosecution is now pairing that call with more than 100,000 messages it says Caleb exchanged with another woman. In opening statements, prosecutor Paul Watkins quoted messages allegedly sent by Caleb about thinking of ways to kill Ashley without going to jail and saying he would kill her "in a heartbeat" if he could avoid hell.

Prosecutors argue those messages help establish motive and intent. The defense concedes the affair and the damaging language but says neither proves Caleb committed the killing. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Tony Brueski and former FBI behavioral expert Robin Dreeke examine the two records side by side: the emergency call Caleb knew was being recorded and the private messages prosecutors say he never expected a jury to read. Robin discusses the call's cadence, Caleb's account that he froze after hearing gunfire, and his repeated intruder framing without treating any single verbal cue as a lie detector.

The central fight is simple enough for a jury to understand and hard enough to decide: what weight should private statements about killing carry when the same man later reports an unknown intruder killed his wife?

  • Nick Reiner's Parents Left Him WHAT Before They Died?!

Nick Reiner's murder case just lost its biggest sentencing headline, while a second courtroom fight is putting his parents' money at the center of his defense. Prosecutors announced September 15 that they will not seek the death penalty for the alleged killings of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner. If Nick is convicted as charged, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office says he faces life without parole.

At the same time, Reiner is asking a probate court to release money from a separate trust created for him in 1993. His lawyers say half of that trust became mandatorily payable when he turned 30 on September 14, 2023. They estimate that distribution at about $558,000 and argue it became his before his parents died. The full trust is now reported at roughly $1.6 million.

The dispute is not over the larger Reiner family estate. It is over Nick's individual trust and whether money scheduled for him years earlier can be withheld while he awaits trial. His attorneys argue California's slayer statute does not reach funds that already vested before the alleged killings. Trustees have resisted releasing the money while the criminal case and the statute's consequences remain unresolved. Former private defense attorney Alan Jackson has said his firm would be prepared to resume representation if funding becomes available.

Meanwhile, prosecutors allege Nick killed his parents after lying in wait, an allegation that remains unproven. Reiner has pleaded not guilty. His documented mental-health history may become part of the defense, but no formal insanity plea has been publicly established. The trust fight returns October 23, with the criminal case back in court October 7.

  • Lindsay Clancy's Holdout Answered WHAT Before Trial?!

The Lindsay Clancy case is now focused on two kinds of information people say they could not see in time. Patrick Clancy told 60 Minutes that mental illness can be 'tragically deceptive.' Days later, Lindsay's lawyers asked the court to investigate what the lone holdout juror disclosed before he was selected and what he was doing during deliberations.

Michael Desronvil was the only juror who favored criminal responsibility when the panel deadlocked 11-1 and Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on September 4. Records reported after the trial show Desronvil had previously faced a domestic assault charge that was dismissed, had an active restraining order involving his teenage nephew when he was seated, and was involved in eviction proceedings. The defense is not treating those facts as automatic proof of misconduct. It is asking whether his confidential questionnaire and voir dire answers accurately disclosed the background the court normally asks prospective jurors to reveal.

Reddington's filing also asks for a limited inquiry into alleged cellphone use during deliberations. Other jurors have accused the holdout of spending time on his phone, while Desronvil has publicly defended his verdict position and said he had no doubts about Clancy's criminal responsibility. Judge Sullivan has not publicly granted the requested inquiry as of September 23. The issue is set to return to court September 29 alongside the defense effort to stop a retrial.

Patrick's interview adds the human side of the same case. He said Lindsay's decline included sleeplessness, depression, intrusive thoughts, repeated medical care, and a stay at McLean Psychiatric Hospital. He told 60 Minutes he believes there were warning signs he simply did not understand at the time. Robin Dreeke and Tony Brueski connect Patrick's account with the new courtroom fight: what was knowable, what was disclosed, and what the legal system does when critical information surfaces only after a mistrial.

  • What Caleb Flynn's Defense Conceded Before Witnesses

Before the prosecution could turn Caleb Flynn's affair into a courtroom reveal, his own defense put it in front of the jury. Emily Smith opened with a verse from Proverbs, admitted Flynn was unfaithful and had lied about it, then drew the distinction the defense needs jurors to keep: marital betrayal is not proof of murder.

That argument is being tested against the state's theory of a staged burglary. Flynn maintains that somebody stole his 9mm handgun from his Ford truck, entered the family's Tipp City home and killed Ashley Flynn. Prosecutors allege there was no real intruder and that the scene was arranged to support that story.

BCI Special Agent David Hammond testified that the garage entry door did not show the signs of forced entry he expected to see. The defense challenged that conclusion, pointing out that the locks were unlocked and pressing Hammond on limits in the scene examination. The gun investigators believe was used has not been recovered.
Then there is the evidence that brings the marriage itself into the courtroom. The woman prosecutors connect to Flynn's alleged affair is expected to testify, and the couple's daughters are also witnesses. The judge has restricted video of the juveniles while permitting audio recording of their testimony.

Robin Dreeke and Jennifer Coffindaffer break down why the defense would volunteer damaging personal facts before the state can weaponize them, and what happens when that strategy meets the physical evidence. The towel found over Ashley's head is treated with the context trial testimony supplied: the first officer said Flynn reported placing it there after a 911 dispatcher instructed him to cover her head. Flynn has pleaded not guilty.

  • Kohberger Told Judge Hippler WHAT About Being Forced?!

Bryan Kohberger is trying to take back his guilty plea as alleged unredacted crime-scene photos from the Idaho murders move through the online creator world. The criminal case ended in 2025, but the records around it are now being contested from two directions.

A creator with more than 9,000 YouTube subscribers said she possessed unredacted images and was waiting for more. On September 15, 2026, the Latah County Prosecutor's Office, Moscow Police and Idaho State Police said an unknown source had allegedly provided sensitive material to journalists and social-media creators. The agencies urged against publishing, posting or sharing the photographs.

That warning followed months of legal restrictions. Judge Megan Marshall ordered bodies and immediately surrounding blood blacked out before City of Moscow releases. Idaho State Police later posted nearly 2,800 images in January 2026 and pulled them the same day.

The Goncalves family said the images were live by the end of a 12-minute warning call. Senate Bill 1250 later exempted death-investigation photographs from public disclosure.

Kohberger's parents and sisters then publicly supported his post-conviction challenge. His petition alleges former counsel pressured him into a false confession, misled him about prison conditions and failed to disclose evidence he believes supports innocence. His July 2, 2025 plea hearing says something very different.

Kohberger told Judge Steven Hippler that no one threatened him, no one told him to lie, no one promised anything outside the agreement, and he was entering the plea freely and voluntarily. He also said he was guilty.
The petition points to hair from Ethan Chapin's right hand. Defense expert Ruth Ballard had examined one hair from that location and described it as morphologically consistent with Chapin's own reference hair. Kohberger now has to support his coercion claims with evidence strong enough to overcome his sworn answers, while investigators face a separate problem: tracing the alleged leak of protected crime-scene material.
