I’m recording this mid-September 2022 and boy, it’s been a tricky couple of years - worldwide, but here in the UK, we were going through Brexit when covid hit, we have a war in Europe, climate change seems to be really coming home to roost.
The cost of living crisis and eye-watering energy price increases have impacted all but a minority.
Politically - well, where do I even start!
National and international politics have been (and still are) - let’s say ‘unsettled’. In the UK, we’ve been rocked by Scandals in government that lead to a change of leader and 2 days after she takes the job, the queen dies.
I liked the queen, but no matter what your views are on the monarchy, this represents a big change when, to be honest, I suspect many of us are just wanting to just relax into something comforting and familiar.
So many things have happened, so many significant changes. And you will have your own story too, as we all do.
