Bridget Hustwaite first started experiencing painful periods when she was just 15, but it took over 12 years for her to finally get diagnosed with endometriosis, a disorder in which tissue similar to that which lines the uterus grows outside the uterus. Despite endo impacting 1 in 9 women and girls, there is still a huge amount of misinformation and misdiagnosis around the condition.

In this chat with Cass Dunn, Bridget explains:

The most common symptoms for endo

Why it took 12 years for her to be diagnosed

Why there is still so much misunderstanding around the condition

What treatments are available and how they work

Why excision surgery is the gold standard

Her hopes for women and girls diagnosed in the future
