In this episode I share a very human, very imperfect moment I had with a traffic control guy outside my house, one of those interactions where two egos meet, both think they’re right, and things go downhill fast.

He was frustrated. I was frustrated. And instead of choosing kindness, clarity, or calm, went high and mighty. Righteous. Chest out. Ego leading the charge.

And he did the same. Two strangers, both convinced we were justified, making each other’s day crap within 30 seconds.

That’s the work of living authentically, catching yourself when you’ve acted out of alignment, owning it, and doing something about it. And as Steve and I went for our walk, I knew exactly what I needed to do: apologise.

Not because I was “wrong.” Not because he “deserved it.” But because I know how I want to show up in this world and that moment wasn’t it.

This episode is a reminder that authenticity isn’t perfection, it’s repair. It’s self-awareness put into action. It’s choosing who you want to be, even after an ego slip.
