Something I’ve noticed recently is that whether we’ve been aware of it or not - we have had to get used to a slower pace of life. Our normal daily routines and ways of working have been disrupted due to lockdown, and we’ve had to adjust and find coping mechanisms to help us get through. But I also know that things aren’t going ‘back to normal’, we have to create our new normal - that’s for another episode.

Okay, so this week we’re talking boundaries. As a business owner, of course you have that innate desire to serve your clients, and be available to them to do allofthethings allofthetime. But, my love, that is not going to help you to serve them to the best of your ability. In short, it’s not healthy. And so this is where boundaries come in.

Funnily enough, this isn’t something I have struggled with too much when it comes to my work. Certainly in areas of my personal life in the past, I haven’t managed to uphold the boundaries I put in place (I’ve got so much better now), but with my work and my professional mission I’ve always known when to say yes, and when to say no.
