And that’s exactly what he’s done with the Releaf brand … From scratch, building it to the first and largest medicinal marijuana clinic and dispensary in the Asia Pacific region.

 

As one of Australia’s leading cannabis entrepreneurs, Gary has become somewhat of a figurehead in an industry that's just starting to find its feet and gain acceptance amongst a community that is divided as to its benefits and values.

 

And that’s where my interest lies. How does one start a business in a relatively new industry, full of red tape and where not everyone is supportive of it being legal.

 

Now I was hoping this interview would have a greater focus on the business of starting a legal, medicinal marijuana business in Australia, however as you’ll hear, Gary is a huge believer in the health benefits of his products, so he talks quite a bit about that. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing as you’ve heard me rattle over the years about the fact that the best marketing is a great product.
