It really does not end well for the narcissist despite the reality distorted illusion they try desperately to get you to believe. They never escape their way of living trapped forever in a behaviour pattern cycle that they will not abandon. Control, lack of accountability, steal and destroy to survive and thrive is their universal modus operandi. It cannot end well as there are collateral consequences for such a destructive cycle that eventually in the end catches up on them. In general the narcissist does not end up well, even where it looks like they’ve succeeded, they are masters and mistresses of illusion.
