Has vaginal discharge got you feeling down? Any unexpected secretion or cervical mucus from your lady parts can be worrying, annoying, and even embarrassing. Not to mention the discomfort that happens when your underwear are suddenly wet and soggy even when your period is still weeks away. We get it, and we can empathize with the unpleasant feeling of unwanted discharge before period. The good news is that in most cases, those secretions you’ve come to dread are completely normal and healthy vaginal discharge. It can also indicate that your body is working exactly as it should. Think of those wet-panty moments as a not-so-pleasant rite of passage into womanhood. 

While it’s normal to produce just under a teaspoon of clear or white discharge every day, some types of secretions could indicate an infection or other health issue. To help differentiate between “healthy” and “questionable” causes of discharge.

According to the Breast Health Center, 50% of women experience breast tenderness at some point in their lives. It can be a sign that something deeper is going on. Most likely It is a reflection that there's an imbalance with your sex hormones estrogen and progesterone. It's definitely treatable, so don’t worry!

Did you know that the vagina is the most absorbent part of the female body? We know that it's important what we put in our body, as far as nutrition goes, but what we put on and in our body, as far as feminine hygiene products go, is just as important for our health.

On today's episode Cody and Jess welcome their special guest Isabel Aagaard, owner and founder of the Denmark based company called LastObject. In this conversation Cody and Isabel talk about her newest product called LastPad, a toxin-free reusable menstrual pad. These two also talk about the importance of using environmentally friendly feminine hygiene products that are not only good for Mother Nature, but also good for us and our delicate internal female environment.

Cody also enjoyed asking Isabel about what the culture around "periods" is like in Denmark and what it has been like for Isabel as a female entrepreneur, working with mostly men, on products aimed to benefit women.

Cody and Isabel share their personal morning rituals to support their infradian rhythm, and talk about the Danish practice of hygge, which is a quality of coziness that makes a person feel content and comfortable. as a big part of honoring the female monthly cycle.

Anxiety and ADHD are very different, but sometimes the symptoms can look similar. The correct diagnosis is critical to guide treatment and to make sense of things. As much as the right diagnosis can heal, the wrong one can also harm. Understanding how anxiety might look like ADHD, and the telltale differences between the two, can make an important difference in avoiding a misdiagnosis, and helping you deal with the symptoms that might be getting in your way.

This episode could possibly change your life! That is if you are anything like today's guest  Elizabeth Baker. She shares her personal story about living with a misdiagnosis of anxiety and depression, While trying to treat those conditions, she couldn't help but feel frustrated because nothing seemed to be working. Then one day she was tuning into a podcast and was listening to another's story about being diagnosed with ADHD and how that caused anxiety, and she immediately related to all that was being shared. Thanks to this podcast episode she listened to, she was able to seek out a correct diagnosis of ADHD Anxiety and treatment plan, and it's made all the difference.

So if symptoms of anxiety and ADHD can be the same, does it matter how it’s treated? Yes. Yes. Yes. It matters. Cody and Elizabeth talk about how the symptoms aren’t the problem. The condition driving the symptoms is the problem. Understanding whether it’s ADHD, anxiety, or both is the first and most important step in making sure you're getting what you need to move forward. Although both anxiety and ADHD are manageable, they just need different types of support to improve.
