Life wasn’t always easy for her and her kids but things seemed to be finally turning around in 2013. Rosaline decided to pursue her dreams of becoming a nurse and had just enrolled in college for the upcoming Fall semester. But her dreams were curtailed on May 26, 2013 when Rosaline leaves her house and doesn’t return. Her disappearance shocked her community of Pontiac, Michigan. Shaniya Davis should have been occupied with 5 year old things, like starting kindergarten or playing with her friends. But, her upbringing provided unique challenges. Her mother was battling a drug addiction and as such, was not fit to be a parent. As a result, Shaniya was raised primarily by her dad, Bradley, from around age 1 to age 5. But in September 2009, the living arrangements change and Shaniya is impacted by this decision in a horrific way.

Tynesha Stewart was an honors student throughout high school and graduated in the top 3% of her class. Talk about black excellence! At 20, Andreen McDonald, a Jamaican native, married Andre McDonald, a captain in the Air Force, and moved to San Antonio, Texas to begin their lives together. By 22, she had built an assisted living business. By 29, that business had made her a millionaire. Everything in her life was absolutely fabulous: she was now a mom to a beautiful daughter, had a loving husband and tons of support from her family and friends. By all accounts, she was healthy and seemingly happy. But as we know, not all that glitters is gold and while 29 marked the year she became a millionaire, it also marked the year she was murdered.
