In January, Jamason Daniels took to Facebook to pay tribute to a fellow AFL player who had recently died by suicide.

What the post also did was describe in beautiful and painful detail, his own experience of AFL, of being delisted and starting from ground zero. With no job, no money and no qualifications.

Jamo’s story is not an isolated experience in transition out of sport and this conversation is one of the most important reasons I wanted to start this podcast.
