James: Welcome back, James Schramko here with my good buddy Ezra, looks a little bit like Jesus, Firestone.

    Ezra: Jesus Firestone, hey.

James: Some people get offended by that.

    Ezra: Do they?

James: But I can see the resemblance.

Ezra: Well, people take religion very seriously, to the point where we’ve talked about doing a religion show for a long time. And we did a sex show.

    James: Before we did religion.

Ezra: Before we did religion. If you haven’t listened to it, ThinkActGet.com, Episode 27, I want to say. My mother comes on the show, and we talk about sex. It’s pretty wild. It’s a good show.

James: We also talk about bananas. In a separate episode.

    What Jarrod Robinson shared

So I want to talk about what Jarrod shared.

Ezra: Not bananas, not related to sex, OK? It was like, bananas… let’s talk about what Jarrod said.

James: Jarrod, he’s just such a great guy, and he was working so hard as a PE geek. We mentioned him on a previous episode.

Ezra: The amount of things that guy had done. He did like...

James: Yeah, he was ready to write "A Hundred-Hour Work Week: How To Kill Yourself Early." He had t-shirts, soundtracks, software...

Ezra: He had software, he produced a CD.

James: This guy will set up a business in like, half a day. He's super bright, really good go-getter.

Ezra: And I would say, hearkening back to our last episode, we'll link to it, the exact problem of doing too much and not doing one thing deep enough.

James: Oh, broad. Broad, not deep. I said "Mate, I think you need some help." So we worked out his effective hourly rate, and it was like, $5 an hour. Basically the formula is, how much you make in profit divided by the time taken to get. And I said, "Get out of the classroom, bro, it's low-paid work, and you can leverage and impact more people." And he said, "Oh, but I can only have a certain amount of people in my classes." And I said, "Nonsense, you can have plenty more than that." And he did, and he realized that this actually worked.

James: James Schramko here, welcome back to our little series, where we're talking about SuperFastBusiness Live 11 highlights. Got my good friend Ezra here.

Ezra: It was a great event. I mean, it really was. It was like, it was really great. I mean, I should come up with a better word to describe it.

James: That's like if you ask a kid, "How was school?"

    Ezra: It was great.

    James: Great.

Some great things about the event

Ezra: I'll tell you what it was. It was engaging, it was dynamic, it made you feel, it made you think.

And one of my favorite things about going to an event — whether or not the content is good, is taking the rest of my life, putting it on hold for a few days, and really just diving into the business world. I find that there's a space that opens, that allows me to go deeper in my thought process for business, because I'm not being confronted by my daily life.

James: For me, it happens as soon as I get on the ferry heading to the airport, and then I'm on the airplane, I'm listening to conversations, I'm getting new perspective, I'm looking at magazines, sometimes watch a video...

Ezra: And that's not to say that your event wasn't phenomenal, because it was, and even when people weren't talking about e-commerce, I was getting ideas for things I could use and leverage in my e-commerce business.

James: I would say the thing that's most different about my event is that the experts who are in every session, and there's no one in the hallway, when we're in the room.

    Ezra: Everyone is consuming.

James: Everyone. And they're taking as many notes as the others.

Ezra: You know, one of the — I don't know when we're going to get to this, or if I'm going too early, but one of the speakers, Andrew Lock actually, what's up dude? I became buddies with him, I like this guy. One of the relationships I made was with him, it was fun. We went and ate at the gluten-free place, and we drank coffee, it was adorable. But one of the things that he was talking about...

James: What is adorable is that you call that shop by its coffee brand and not the name of the shop.

Ezra: Yeah, I always thought that was the name.

    James: Oh, it's hilarious.

Ezra: Will and Co. (Both laugh)

James: James Schramko here, welcome to this little video, where we're talking about SuperFastBusiness Live 11, the recap. And Ezra's here.

Ezra: What actually happened? It's sort of like, behind-the-scenes behind the scenes.

    Who was there?

James: Behind the scenes. So it's important to know who we had at the event. We had intermediate to advanced marketers, it's a really important context to put to it, and a few world-level experts.

Ezra: You know, I keep saying this, that one of the things I'm so impressed by is the sort of level of the community. You never run into a community where that many people are that advanced.

James: A lot of some have kept coming to the event, and actually a member of mine gave me this idea. In the beginning, I thought I'd put on an event and people would come, and then the next year I would sell the event and new people would come. Wrong.

I actually thought about like professional accounting, professional legal.

    Ezra: It's really changed fast.

James: They have to keep education, and so now it's totally framed as keep coming along, and the first hundred tickets for this event sell within SuperFastBusiness membership on the first day.

    Ezra: Amazing.

James: When we release the tickets, just to give you some context.

Ezra: A high level group of people, you know, people who are 6 figures and above, a lot of them, you know?

James: So we thought maybe we'd just cover one key point from each of the experts, just a little bit of a grab bag of what was there.

    Ezra: What's a — a grab bag is a thing?

James: A grab bag is kind of like if you just grab into the bag and take...

    Ezra: Whatever you get?

James: Like a lolly bag at a party, we're going to give you some lollies.

Ezra: It's going to be a lolly bag.

James: It's not a full meal, we can't give you a 2-day event, word for word replay.

    Ezra: Right.

James: Because it will take two days.

Ezra: But we can give you a lolly bag event.

    Ezra: Recap of an event.

James: The next guest, I want to just really compound the point about going to events. You might recall that about 8 or 9 years ago I went across to Los Angeles for my first live event. Prior to that, I was sitting at home watching the sort of run out version of Traffic Secrets from John Reese, thinking, I know this, I know this, I know this, but I’m getting it years too late, and oh, I didn’t know that, I’ll do that. And then I doubled my online affiliate business. From this one tip from a video.

I thought, I have to go to the call face. I’ve got to get over to Los Angeles to this online event. I went to the event, and I entered a competition, and some of you know this story, but I’ll share it anyway. I entered this competition, and I won it, and I got to share with the audience all this training (I didn’t know a single person there) share with the audience how I won the competition. So it was the first time I spoke at a big event like that, it was about 550 people, in America.

And then I got to join the group called Mavericks, and from there I met guys like Tim and also Brad Fallon and Buck Rizvi. And through Brad Fallon, built up a relationship, and I met other friends who you know that I’m friends with now, like Dean Jackson, etc. And when Brad Fallon got a speaking gig in Australia with Universal Events, then I said, “Hey, why don’t you ask them if I could speak too?” and he got me on the dance card, so to speak.

And then through that, I met John Carlton, and then we all went down to Ed Dale in Melbourne, and we went to a football match. So I sort of met Ed, John, and Brad, quite well, and then through John Carlton, he invited me to his event in San Diego, and I sat next to Bond Halbert at that event.

And Bond Halbert’s the son of Gary Halbert, one of the sons, and Gary Halbert, some say, was the world’s greatest living copywriter. And in a weird sort of related twist, Ed Dale had quite a lot of involvement with Gary Halbert, and I asked him, specifically, “Could he share that. What was it like, what did he learn working with the world’s greatest living copywriter?”

And when all my stuff got stolen recently in California, it was Kevin Halbert who came and picked me up from Hertz where I was in my little sarong, if you remember, and took me to Target, and we bought some jeans. It never felt so good buying jeans in Target.

James: James Schramko here, welcome back to SuperFastBusiness.com, and this is Part 3 of How To Use Automated Webinars In Your Marketing. Just quickly, if you haven't listened to Episode 1 or Episode 2, you need to go and find them right now. Just look for How To Use Automated Webinars In Your Marketing at SuperFastBusiness.com or on iTunes, and you'll hear Jarrod Robinson, my special guest. Good day Jarrod.

Jarrod: Hey, James, how are you?

James: Good, thank you. We'll be talking about why automated webinars are such a good idea, and how you actually do them. We're actually already up to the point now where you probably have a webinar running, and you're sending out some emails and stuff. In this particular episode, we're going to talk about more advanced stuff, so you really need to get the foundation for it, go back and listen to Part 1 and Part 2.

But for now, we're going to go into this final part of the series, and let's just imagine, Jarrod, that we've broken out our topic notes, we've brainstormed some things that people keep asking us, we've prepared a slideshow in 16 x 9 aspect, we've recorded it with some screen software, we were making sure we had the end in mind and that we taught somebody something really cool, we've asked them to go with our offer, and then once we recorded that we uploaded it into our media storage of choice.

We then set up our EverWebinar system with a registration page, with sessions and times, we put up a landing page using LeadPages or Thrive Themes, maybe using the webinar template that I've got on LeadPages.

And we've created a little ad with Canva and we drove some traffic to it and we gave away a PDF and we asked people on the thank you page to sign up for our online training session which you called "on demand," which is fantastic. And they registered, and that's sort of where we're at. We've got this thing in play, how do we fine-tune this amazing supercharger that we've built for our business?

    Jarrod: Well,
