Jared Parris' anxiety began in childhood.
He remembers having panic attacks as a kid, though he didn’t fully understand what was happening at the time. Things got worse during his teenage years, especially while playing baseball when he started feeling dizzy and fearful.
His anxiety followed him into adulthood, hitting hard in June 2023 when a panic attack struck while driving to a friend’s wedding. From that point on, Jared felt trapped in a constant cycle of panic attacks, chest tightness, palpitations, and racing thoughts. Even everyday activities, like working out at the gym, became overwhelming.
Jared tried everything – changing his diet, quitting caffeine, meditation, pushing himself with exercise, you name it – but nothing helped.
Things began to change when he joined the Bye Bye Panic mentorship program. It helped him understand the root cause of his anxiety: how he was responding to his symptoms.
Mentors and a community who had been through the same struggles helped him learn new ways to respond to his anxiety, and slowly, things improved. Now, Jared is on the path to recovery, working daily to manage his anxiety and live his life fully again.
