"By the skin of the teeth" 的真实含义

意思是 “侥幸；好不容易；差一点就没成功”，

通常指以极小的优势达成目标，或是勉强躲过危险，

核心是 “过程惊险，结果刚好成功”，

类似中文里的 “九死一生”“惊险过关”。

短语起源：

其最早出处可追溯至《圣经·约伯记》第19章第20节，

原文为“My bone clings to my skin and to my flesh， and I have escaped by the skin of my teeth”。约伯在经历磨难后使用这一比喻表达劫后余生的庆幸。

随着时间推移，习语逐渐脱离宗教语境，演变为日常用语，

并弱化原句中的肉体痛苦，更多用于描述广义的“险胜”。
