Murderess- Kappa Sigma Chapter of DST
WHEN:
2010
WHERE:
North Carolina
**For this episode of Sistas Who Kill, we’re doing things a little differently. On the original version of this episode, Kamil was listed as the murderess. After deeper reflection and feedback from multiple affected parties, including Kamil, we acknowledge that this is a mistake and one that caused great harm. In an effort to right this wrong, and to assert that Kamil is indeed a victim in this situation, the “murderess” and entity responsible for this death has been changed to the Kappa Sigma Chapter of DST.
Though true crime is an entertainment industry, we do not hold lightly that we are talking about people’s real lives and loved ones and that our work can have real consequences. As such, we want to apologize for the harm caused by this misstep. When we make a mistake, we will always do our best to listen and find a better way forward. We hope this will be a first step in a longer path of repair and restoration.
