2020 has been a year that we can’t even begin to describe. Nevertheless, we are so grateful and blessed to have made it through the year despite the many hardships we have all faced. We made it to a new year, and if you’re reading this then you have as well, and that alone is something to be SO thankful for!

In this episode we each give our own 2020 recaps and discuss the lessons we’ve each learned, the obstacles we’ve faced, and the memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. As we go into the new year we also each discuss what our overall 2021 themes are, and what we want the new year to bring into our lives.

This will be our last episode until the month of February due to rebranding. As the year comes close to an end, things seem to start getting crazier and crazier! In this weeks episode we begin with discussing the new COVID-19 vaccine, Trump & his administration not being scheduled to take the first round of vaccines, and whether or not we think it’s safe to take it so soon. We then dive into JT (1/2 of the City Girls) recently being under fire for a colorist tweet she made back in ‘18, whether or not social media is too sensitive nowadays and how colorism is still a very prevalent issue amongst our community. Lastly, because Christmas is right around the corner, for our Girl Talk Segment we discussed how to go about gift giving in a "situationship" and what to do if you and your significant other haven’t discussed Christmas gifts just yet.

 Lately there has been so much going on in the streets so for this weeks episode we dive into all the latest tea!! We begin with discussing the recent celebrity boxing match between Jake Paul and Nate Robinson and the reaction from social media after the fight. Then we jump right into the viral news about ATL rapper Lil Baby who was exposed for cheating on his long time girlfriend Jayda Cheaves with an adult-film actress and why black men struggle with commitment. We then end off the episode with our Girl Talk Segment where we discuss how the rising trend of “baby mama culture” is ruining families in our community, the importance of women setting the standard very high in relationships, and many other prevalent issues that our community struggles with when it comes to relationships and building a solid family foundation.

The girls are officially back from our thanksgiving break and our #AllMaleMarathon that we had for the entire month of November where we bought on different males to be a guest on our show, to give us a different perspective on a variety of topics (make sure to check those episodes out). We appreciate all the guests who came on the show during the marathon but the girls are happy to be back on our regular scheduled programming!!

In this week’s episode we kick the show off with us each revealing our “Apple Music 2020 Replay” where we lists our top 10 favorite artists for the year and also our top 10 favorite albums. We then get into our first topic being Larsa Pippen and Malik Beasleys cheating scandal that occurred recently, our second topic being Ari Fletcher and her make-up artist/friend Oliva Song’s recent beef on instagram and the problem with the lack of support among black females in our community, and we end off the show discussing the famous Youtube couple “Dearra & Ken”, and Ken’s recent cheating mishaps which leads into our Girl Talk segment topic which is “Can a relationship be saved after cheating occurs”?

We’re finally wrapping up our #AllMaleMarathon for the month of November with a all girl talk episode where we bring up topics all under the umbrella of “girl talk”. In this weeks episode we have special guests Brevin Jordan & Julien Andrews who joined us to give us a different male perspective on a variety of juicy topics! This is a conversation you don’t want to miss. 

This episode is split into two segments with Brevin Jordan as the special guest in the first segment and Julien Andrews as the special guest in the second one. During the first segment Brevin who plays football for the University of Miami talks to us about what it’s really like dating a student athlete, the stereotypes associated with dating an athlete and what girls should know before dating one. In our second segment, Julien who is a student athlete and the host of his own podcast called “The Dive” talks to us about his dating experiences in college, whether or not girls or guys cheat more, black men dating outside of their race and things that girls do that he wishes they didn’t. 

Of course we, the girls also gave our own perspective on all of these topics which led to a spicy debate and a great conversation. This is definitely an episode you don’t want to miss, we spill some TEA regarding our own personal experiences on a variety of things and the guys drop some GEMS that all of the ladies definitely need to tune into.

We’re continuing our #AllMaleMarathon and this week we get into the topic of fashion/styling in every aspect with wardrobe stylist and multi-creator, Don Jayy. Don is a student entrepreneur that has created his own unique lane in fashion and in styling. He has his own business @trustdonstyle where he not only offers unique “one of one” pieces for purchase, but he also offers both in person and virtual styling services for a very affordable price. His main goal is to continue to promote uniqueness and confidence throughout the clothes and content he makes. 

During the episode, Don gives us a little background on his overall fashion journey and how he found a love for styling. He also tells us some of his favorite fall/winter trends a long with some tips on how to effectively style yourself and step into your own “drip”. This is an episode you don’t want to miss! Don definitely gives us some fashion gems!

In this week’s episode we discuss all things Mental Health! To kick off our #AllMaleMarathon special guest Derrick Johnson who is a mental health advocate, motivational speaker, & founder of a non-profit organization called “BROS” (Brothers Rising Over Stigmas) joined us to give us some great insight focused on the topic of Mental Health and how it strongly impacts a number of aspects in our life & also specifically black men. 

We discuss how social media can have a huge impact on your mental health and the importance of going at your own pace and not comparing yourself to others. We also discuss the stigmas around masculinity in black households & the importance of black men accepting their emotions and being vocal about the struggles they may go through. Lastly, of course the girls couldn’t leave out the topic of relationships so during our Girl Talk Segment we discussed how mental health plays a huge role in the overall well-being of relationships and we also uncover all the TEA as to why cheating is so prevalent today along with tips on how to improve your relationship through the art of listening & communication. A special thank you to our guest Derrick for the work he’s doing in our community and for coming on the show to give us some amazing insight and advice relating to Mental Health.

In this week's episode we discuss the upcoming election with our special guest Ariel Metayer! Ariel is an activist, student, and a political enthusiast. She attends St. Johns University located in New York City with a major in Government and Politics and a concentration in International Relations. Ariel is extremely informed and passionate about our political climate and how it effects our community and with the election just 4 days away, it was a MUST to get Ariel on the show, and have an open dialogue about this election.

In this episode, we discuss why it’s so important for our generation to get out and vote in this specific election, what our community can do to be better prepared for post-election, the presidential candidates and the importance of research/ political awareness before going to the polls, and the overall political atmosphere of our country right now. This episode is extremely filled with so much information and useful insight that will FULLY prepare you for this upcoming election.
