Most lash artists have their clients return every 2-3 weeks but can you really get them to come 8 weeks between fills? When Covid shut down the world back in March of 2020, we all had a lot of time to sit around and ponder our futures. Is it okay to copy best practices from other businesses? Will that just mean your business won't be original? In today's episode answer the question...is it okay to copy what other people do in their business. And we answer that question with a resounding YES!I know we all want to be original and create something special but when we are first in business there is so much to learn...and we think the wise way to go is to copy others who have gone before you. There's no need to reinvent the wheel. Once you have learned how to run a business, then you can add your own flair and break out of the mold...but in the beginning, the quickest way to get up and going is to copy successful people who you know. We all crave success! We all want to be seen as competent and capable. Who do you like to follow on Instagram? People, who inspire you? Entertain you? Make you laugh? That's who I tend to follow, but I see a lot of people also following "influencers" who love to show off their wealth...their cars, the vacations, and fancy dinners...and I wonder...what are they selling? Many times they are selling their training or their coaching...and their matto is, "Hey I'm rich, you should buy my stuff". Now no one actually says that in those words, but they love to talk about how they were once poor but now they are rich and they want to help you be rich too. In today's episode, we talk about these kinds of salespeople and why you need to unfollow and stop paying attention to them. Now there are some legit people out there helping people using this poor marketing strategy but as a general rule...if someone shows off their car and then tells you they want to teach you how to do business so you can be rich...run away! All you are doing is giving them money so they can continue to get richer and keep you from going nowhere. We'd love to hear from you on this one.
