We've been in this industry for over 16 years and there still seems to be a lot of confusion over what causes the lash allergy. Pretty much every week I see posts with good intentions passing on information that is just incorrect when it comes to the lash allergy..also known as contact dermatitis. Today we have a Dr. Matthew Zirwas, an expert in contact dermatitis, join us to talk all things allergies. Dr. Zirwas wrote a book on contact dermatitis and consults with companies like Google, Facebook as well as Luum who we consult with too. Dr. Zirwas will challenge you on what you think you know about lash allergies. What are your thoughts on booth rental?For many employees renting a booth or room is the dream. You're tired of being paid commission or hourly and renting a room from a salon owner means you get to be your own boss. Lashing can be such a pain. Working hunched over all day, barely eating, and sometimes not even having time to go the bathroom. Is it possible that there are people who exist in this world who shouldn't get eyelash extensions? Is that even possible?Unfortunately, there are...just like there are people who don't believe in unicorns (those poor fools). We use to say that lashes are for everyone...but we have come to see that there are some exceptions to that statement. If you are like me, I don't lose a lot of sleep worrying about someone hacking my social media accounts or stealing my identity. Why do you think I sleep well at night not being concerned about these things? Because I'm WAY too trusting which means I'm actually a prime candidate to have someone hack one of my accounts. Until recently I never added two-factor authentication and if someone forced me to do that, I'd get annoyed (not too bright I know). In today's episode, Melissa Rudolphi of "Lash Like a Pro" fame, shares how her account got hacked and held for a ransom. It's a crazy story and something that can happen to anyone.Melissa also goes into what you need to do to protect your IG account and what to look for from potential scammers. The lesson of the story here is do not be like me, and don't trust anyone online (unless it's me asking for your banking info...I'm very trustworthy).
