In today’s episode, Dietitian Boss Instructor Yaa interviews Alexandra Fucarino (Fook-a-reno). Alexandra is a registered dietitian in Tampa, Florida with over 10 years experience in the field of nutrition. She received her BS and MS in Food and Nutrition Science from Florida State University and completed her internship in clinical nutrition at the University of Delaware. Alex’s passion for gut health began while working as a GI dietitian in an outpatient clinic. While there she worked with many patients who experienced debilitating gut changes such as SIBO after undergoing major GI surgery. During this time, Alex became increasingly interested in understanding the complexity surrounding various GI-related disorders, such as IBS and Crohn’s Disease and how diet plays an integral role in their treatment. Alex currently offers a group program where she empowers women with IBS on how to confidently manage their GI symptoms with evidence-based diet and lifestyle interventions.
“I cannot emphasize that enough. I definitely am learning as I go. You learn what works and what doesn't. ” - Alexandra Fucarino
