He recalls the moment he realized the extent of his addiction and the crucial choice he made toward recovery. Les discusses the value of connecting with others who understand this journey, and finding hope and encouragement in AA meetings and the wider sober community. In 2003 he lost his wife and recounts the struggle of the loss while maintaining his sobriety, and the importance of living day by day.
