In this wide-ranging interview with pelvic health OT Danika Viola, we talk personal life, treatment philosophy, the difference between PT and OT and business.
Danika describes some of the differences in training between PTs and OTs and her journey into treating pelvic health. She also describes how she works closely with pelvic PTs in order to provide a more well-rounded experience for the patient.
She's had her own health challenges and her experience as a patient absolutely informs how she treats her patients. Danika actually had to make the incredibly difficult decision to amputate her lower leg following a car accident.
