Every year, at Girls State, young women from across the country gather to form a mock government while honing their leadership skills. The new Apple TV+ documentary “Girls State” follows some of these girls from 2022’s event, documenting their triumphs, failures, tears, and breakthroughs. Co-director Amanda McBaine joins the show along with one of the film’s main subjects, Emily Worthmore. They dig into the value of crossing the aisle, and all the amazing things you can learn from young women. Plus, Danielle and Simone talk about the total eclipse, and weigh the pros and cons of IUDs.
