I've been pulling out the phrase, "this too shall pass", more and more recently, but different reasons. 

Typically I'd use this phrase when times are tough and less that ideal. Instead, I've been using this amidst an awesome moment that's full of connection, joy or celebration. And it's not because I'm being a Debbie Downer. 

It's been a habit of mine to live for the epic-ness and feel bummed when life returns back to "normal". I noticed myself being annoyed at the mundane-ness after something amazing took place either personally or professionally and felt the need to balance this out. I could see myself judging life, people or situations, looking for why it or they were not as good as yesterday.

We often use the term, "this too shall pass", for tough times, but often when times are good, we cling onto the good feelings and feel underwhelmed when life returns to normal. I have been reminding myself that even the good times pass and it's to remind me that the beige-ness of life is okay.
