With Fall camp beginning soon for Oregon Football, soon there will once again be on-field football to talk about as Dan Lanning prepares for his first season in Eugene as the Ducks' head coach. Some starting positions are easier to predict than others, and some position groups like defensive backs and ball carriers could not be fully determined until right before the season opener against Georgia on September 3rd. With 5 talented/promising running backs, how might that position group shape up over the next month?
On today's episode of Locked On Ducks, Spencer McLaughlin is joined by Max Torres, host of the 'Ducks Dish' podcast and covering the Ducks for Sports Illustrated. They discuss a recent tweet from CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd, who said that the Big 10 is still potentially open to expansion and that among the teams they would consider are Oregon, Washington, Stanford, and Cal. Is that a good development for the Ducks?
Oregon seemed to be trending towards landing a commitment from 2023 OL recruit Micah Banuelos, but he's instead going to play for Lincoln Riley at USC. The Ducks are still waiting on a big-time defensive line commitment in the class of 2023 as well. With those recruiting headlines coming out of Eugene, Max and Spencer look at the next batch of recruits on either side of the ball in the trenches to keep an eye on for Duck fans.
