Tomorrow, the leader of the Belarusian opposition Svetlana Tihanovska will arrive in Latvia to participate in the international security and political forum "Riga Conference 2020", as well as to discuss the current situation in Belarus with the Latvian Foreign Minister, President and Prime Minister. Despite the fact that the authoritarian leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has not shown a willingness to engage in dialogue with the opposition and continues to violently suppress peaceful protesters, the population has been taking to the streets for almost a third month. Opposition leaders outside Belarus are also continuing their active work.
