Rehtaeh was a teenage girl living in Canada. She had a deep passion for animals and hope to work to save marine animals one day, and had just started high school. She attended a get together with her friend and four other boys when she was a freshman. That night, they drank alcohol and raped Rehtaeh. They bragged at school that they had had sex with her, and distributed photographic evidence. However, in the end, everyone failed Rehtaeh.

As a young man Bernie worked at funeral home to help his family cover expenses. He eventually went to mortuary school and started working at a funeral home in Carthage, Texas. This is where he met 81 year old Marjorie Nugent, one of the most wealthy widows in Carthage. He looked after her after her husband died and they became fast friends. However, when he started working for her formally, things went terribly. Marjorie was controlling, and didn't like some of his work, and Bernie felt suffocated. Darrell Lance Abbott, known as dimebag Darrell, started the band Pantera with his brother in the 1980's. They went to reach international fame, debuted on the charts at number one, and were even nominated for four Grammy awards. However, Pantera broke up in 2003 and he and his brother started a new band Damageplan. It was during a concert for Damageplan that Dimebag Darrell was assassinated on stage. Leaving the question of who would do this, and how did the venue allow it to happen.
