Mad Times With Madison

This week Taryn tells us about the case the case of Garrett Phillips. Garrett Phillips unsolved murder is the topic of the documentary "Who Killed Garrett Phillips" on HBO, where Taryn got her information from. In 2011, twelve year old Garrett was murdered in his apartment, but nobody else was in the apartment when the police arrived. The direction the investigation goes in is infuriating and confusing. What did you think about the case and the documentary? What do you think happened? Let us know!

In 2008 71 year old Ann Nelson was working as a realtor when she went to show James a home. He told Ann he couldn't afford the house and wasn't going to buy it anyway. When she asked him why he was looking at houses he had no intention of buying, he snapped. Did this also ignite a new fear for you?

This week Madison wanted to shed some light on an ongoing case for Black History Month. In 2008 Gregory Johnson Jr. was found hanging in his fraternity basement after a party the night before. Gregory was found in a seated position, because he was 4 inches taller than the basement he was hanging in. The police all but refused to investigate and ruled the death a suicide, despite conflicting autopsy reports, times of death, and mishandled evidence. His family is still working to get the truth, please help them in any way you can.

in 2018 Tamla Horsford went to a football moms sleepover and tragically passed away. There was drinking, games, and the police decided tamla went on the balcony after everyone went to bed, and fell over the railing and died as a result of the injuries. However, a private autopsy revealed that might not have been the case. What do you think happened?

In 1998 Maddie Clifton went to play outside in her neighborhood and did not come home. There were search parties and rewards offered. However, the found Maddie's body a few days later not that far away, and what happened to her in the final moments of her life and where she was left to lie are awful. Taryn does a great job telling this awful story, what did you think?

In 2008 Agneta Westlund went to walk her dog and never came back. Her husband went looking for her, and found her body brutally beaten, and then was immediately arrested. With only 404 people in the town it seemed obvious that her husband would be the one who did it. However, five months later he is formally dropped as a suspect. So, what happened to Agneta? Listen to figure it out! Were you shocked? Let us know!

Special guest host Caitlyn!! She's back to her first full case with us. She did a great job. Also, we only have two microphones so Madison isn't mic'd up for this one, that's why she sounds so far away and why Taryn sounds so loud.

Liz Golyar was dating Dave Kroupa casusally when he started to see Cari Farver as well. Liz was fed up and picked up her stuff from Dave's, passing Cari in the hallway. Then Cari ghosts Dave, but torments him and Liz via text messages for years. She threatens them, throws bricks through their window, and Liz's house even gets burned down. But where this ends is so insane. What did you think??

This week Taryn continues with her female executions. She tells us the story of Christina Marie Rigg, which is actually kind of sad. How does a mother end up death row? Was everything working against her? Or is she just a monster?

On May 19, 1983 Diane Downs entered the emergency room with a gunshot wound in her arm screaming that her children had been shot. She was driving home from a coworkers house when a man flagged her down in the street. When she stopped to see what he wanted, he attempted to steal her car, and then shot her children when she refused. He then tried to shoot her, but she got away with just a shot to the arm. The police try to piece together what happened that night, and they run into some problems. Listen to Madison this week to figure it out what exactly happened. What did you think??
