Over the years the message of ‘you can’t change a man’ has become more prominent; that’s after YEARS of women thinking their man just needed some kind loving and he’d change into the Prince Charming she always dreamed of. But this thinking goes against everything that a strong relationship is built on: authenticity and acceptance of the other person.

So, why is it that women feel THEY need to change in order to attract a man? That could mean acting differently at a party or bar or pretending not to enjoy something simply because their man doesn’t enjoy it. This isn’t authenticity or acceptance; this is denying your joy to make someone else happy. And if your partner is expecting you to do this – or is OK with you doing it – is that partner really worth keeping?
