This week the MT ladies chat pre and post-natal fitness with founder of Bumps and Burpees - Charlie Barker.

Charlie shares how she has always had a passion for fitness due to her life evolving around sport from a young age. 

She tells us how entering motherhood herself has enabled her to empathize more with her clients. She can now relate to pre and post birth aches and pains and the challenge a mother might face to find the time and energy to workout. 

We hear all about her journey to getting pregnant and how she kept up her fitness during pregnancy whilst respecting and listening to her body. Charlie also followed the same advice she offers her clients and took 7 weeks off fitness post birth to let her body recover.

On this week’s episode, the Mother Tongue ladies talk to Australian fashionista and mama of two, Kat Lebrasse. 

We hear Kat’s thoughts on the dreaded mum comparison, affirming its difficult not to compare. She also mentions how it can be hard to share the triumphs we have in case it comes across as if you are boasting about being the perfect mum.

Kat shares her advice on finding a nanny, saying it needs to be someone you can trust, find a connection with, makes you feel comfortable, and perfect fit for your little ones. 

She also mentions that the pressure we feel as mothers is often the pressure, we put on ourselves and that we need to be more kind to ourselves as we are all doing our best.
