There’s this idea that the only and/or best way for your online business to be successful is to coach people through a transformation you’ve had yourself—you need to be your own niche, and your avatar should be a past version of yourself. Sure, it might be “easier” to do it that way, but I call bullshit on that being the only way to succeed. Leaning on your expertise can work just as well as leaning on your backstory.
