  • Chicken Coop Murders - Serial Killer, Stewart Northcott | MURDERISH Ep. 038

In February of 1928, Stewart Northcott would commit his first known murder. He would go on to become a serial killer, who preyed on adolescent boys. Stewart lived on a chicken ranch in Wineville, CA (now named Mira Loma). The ranch would become a house of horrors for his victims, which included his own nephew. Shockingly, Stewart’s crimes became a family affair, with his mother playing a prominent role in carrying out the brutal slayings that occurred on the chicken ranch. The chicken coop murders have inspired movies and tv shows, and motivated a community to change its name in order to wash away the memories of what happened there.

  • Father Ed Hinds | MURDERISH Ep. 037

This episode of MURDERISH brings us to the East Coast of the United States, to the Garden State of New Jersey. When the battered and cold body of Father Ed Hinds was discovered on the floor of the church rectory, covered in blood, nobody had a clue who could have killed him, or why. The community would quickly learn who brutally murdered the Catholic Priest, but jurors would have to decide whether the murderer snapped in a fit of rage over the Priest’s actions, or if the murder was motivated by the need to cover up a 20-year-old secret. Join me as I walk you through the murder of Father Ed Hinds.

  • West Mesa Bone Collector | MURDERISH Ep. 036

This case takes us to New Mexico, where a serial killer preyed on vulnerable women in the early 2000’s. This story begins with the discovery of a femur bone, and that would only be a prelude to what would be Albuquerque’s Crime of the Century. • Corrine Erstad | MURDERISH Ep. 033

This case brings us to the Twin Cities in Minnesota. It was the early 1990s when a young girl went missing ... just yards away from her home. • The “Smoked” Murders | MURDERISH Ep. 31

The triple homicide, known as the “Halloween Massacre,” occurred in Pasadena, California in 1993. As rare as violent crimes are in Pasadena, the Halloween Massacre was the second triple homicide in the City in less than a three-year time span. On Friday, March 22, 1991, at about 2:30 in the morning, Pasadena police received a call asking them to do a welfare check at a posh home located on the 1300th block of Fairlawn Way. Officers arrived about 18 minutes later to find three deceased teenage girls. The brutal crime scene would haunt the lead detective until his dying day. In this episode of Murderish, I’ll walk you through the tragic murder of three teenagers, a crime for which no motive was ever uncovered.

  • The Wichita Massacre | MURDERISH Ep. 030

Just seven days after a quadruple homicide in Wichita, Kansas, a second would take place. This crime, known as The Wichita Massacre, would become one of the most famous crimes in the history of Kansas, along with those committed by infamous serial killer, Dennis Rader (known as BTK). Between December 7 and December 14, 2000, two brothers, Reginald and Jonathan Carr, went on a robbery, rape and murder spree in Wichita. The Carr brothers inflicted great pain and suffering upon their victims, and their victims’ families. However, from this terrible tragedy, arose a story of tremendous triumph, and, of all things …love.
