Eine der wesentlichen Säulen für eine erfolgreiche Wettkampfvorbereitung im Bodybuilding ist eine strukturierte Planung. Diese dient dazu, dass die Wahrscheinlichkeit für das Erreichen der gewünschten Form erhöht wird und dass psychologische und körperliche Nebeneffekte bestmöglich in Schach gehalten werden.
Die Saisonplanung sollte auch die Zeit nach dem letzten Wettkampf berücksichtigen.
Dafür muss vorab ein grundlegendes Verständnis für die hormonellen und metabolischen Anpassungen, die in einer Vorbereitung auftreten und die es in der Zeit danach rückgängig zu machen gilt, aufgebaut werden. Somit fällt es leichter zu akzeptieren, dass eine Wettkampfform nicht aufrechterhalten werden sollte.

Die Planung einer Wettkampfvorbereitung und von anderen Phasen mit Fettverlust als Ziel greift zumeist eine wöchentliche, zu realisierende Abnehmrate auf. In der praktischen Umsetzung wird ein Kaloriendefizit jedoch nicht immer in einer linearen Art und Weise angewendet.
Auf dem Spektrum der non-linearen Diätstrategien befinden sich Refeeds, Cheat Meals/Days und Diet Breaks. Auch ein Calorie Cycling findet in manchen Wettkampfvorbereitungen Beachtung und kann diesen Strategien zugeordnet werden.

Um Gewicht zu verlieren, muss ein Kaloriendefizit her. Obwohl diese Aussage richtig ist, bleibt die Frage unbeantwortet, wie die Ernährung gestaltet werden kann, um die Umsetzung von einem Kaloriendefizit zu erleichtern und somit Adhärenz wahrscheinlicher zu machen.

Der Erhalt von Muskelmasse ist aus mehreren Gründen wichtig. Am Ende einer Wettkampfvorbereitung wollen wir alle Wertungskriterien bestmöglich bedienen. Darunter fallen unter anderem das Conditioning, das Posing, aber auch die Muskulosität.
Das Ausmaß an Muskelverlust ist zudem eine Vorhersagevariable für zukünftigen Gewichtsanstieg. Personen, die nachhaltig ein geringeres Gewicht stabilisieren wollen, profitieren somit ebenfalls von Strategien, die mindestens einen Erhalt ihrer Muskelmasse begünstigen.

Die Verdauung hat einen hohen Stellenwert für unsere Gesundheit, unser Wohlbefinden und die Leistung, die wir im Alltag und Training abrufen können.

In der neuen Episode des Myo Solutions Podcast war Daniel Kubik zu Gast. Daniel wurde in 2022 INBA/PNBA Weltmeister und kann mittlerweile auf 8 Jahre Erfahrung im Wettkampfbodybuilding sowie über eine Dekade Training zurückblicken. Darüber hinaus beweist Daniel seit mehreren Jahren immer wieder seine enorme Kompetenz als Coach und trägt diese über seine Social Media Kanäle nach außen.
Auch wenn Daniel unter anderem dafür bekannt ist, dass er im Laufe seiner Karriere schon mehrere Gesamtsiege für sich entscheiden konnte, waren diese Erfolgserlebnisse für ihn nicht der initiale Antrieb für Bodybuilding. Noch heute sind seine Motive breit gestreut.

Im Bodybuilding gilt es als Allgemeinwissen, dass eine gewisse Proteinmenge notwendig ist, um Muskelaufbau optimal zu unterstützen. Fette und Kohlenhydrate werden teils nur als Lückenfüller für die benötige Energiezufuhr angesehen. Diese Sichtweise kann jedoch dazu führen, dass die Makronährstoffzufuhr - trotz ausreichend hoher Proteinzufuhr - suboptimal für sportlichen Fortschritt als auch die allgemeine Gesundheit auslegt wird.
Darüber hinaus wird eine hohe Fettzufuhr oft als Initiator für eine höhere Zunahme an Körperfett angesehen. Grund dafür ist, dass die Neubildung von Körperfett aus Kohlenhydraten, auch bekannt als De-novo-Lipogenese, für unwahrscheinlich gehalten wird. Wir sind allerdings definitiv in der Lage, bei einem Kalorienüberschuss Kohlenhydrate in Körperfett umzuwandeln.
Warum du deine Kohlenhydrat- und Fettzufuhr nicht zu sehr einschränken solltest, erfährst du in der neuen Episode des Myo Solutions Podcast. Zu Beginn wird auch nochmal kurz das Thema Partial ROM Training und die Umsetzung davon in der Praxis aufgegriffen.
